Anyone else in this Ticketmaster Queue for Oasis tickets?
-
It's absolutely nuts!!
-
@Tony-Hastie haha
I was recently looking into an NHL Ice Hockey game is Finland and the resale for £60 tickets was something like £1500. Thought I'm just better off spending a bit more and actually going to the US!
-
@Martin Reminds me of the time our mate who met us at a pub in Twickenham with our All Blacks vs England tickets(secured with the help of Kiwi passports at NZ house)...and the story that he was offered £1000 for the 4 tickets he had on the way to meet us(this is early 90s). Bloody idiot turned it down as "he didnt know how much we really wanted to go"
-
They should just do it all as a random ballot. Would be so much better.
-
@Adam I've said I won't pay above face value anymore, so situations where getting a ticket is harder that just loading it up the second they release and buying I totally avoid. No event is worth that extra money to me, I avoid resale like the plague too.

Apparently it was Oasis who decided on the surge pricing. Greedy bastards. How is that for the fans?!
-
@Adam I got to the front of the queue early afternoon, nothing but grey seats all around the stadium with the occasional couple of platinum seats in there. Then in demand standing for £358.00.
Here's the kicker though. Even clicking on those out of curiosity came back with constant messages of please try again later or seats not available.
It was a horrendous pile of donkey crap!!
And the worst thing. My mate had suggested it would just be one queue and you would select dates/venues when you got in. But no, they were individual queues.
Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea when most people were thinking i'll take what I can get within reason. Backup dates, stadiums etc...
Instead you nail your colours to the mast, queue for hours only to get there and nothing. Not like you can then say oh well, i'll try the next night.

I was an absolute joke. Their site was crashing constantly even at 08:30am. You'd think Ticketmaster would be one site that planned for sudden peaks in usage?! Then again they have a virtual monopoly so they probably don't care.
On X they were telling people to clear their cookies, which would not only NOT help as it was an issue their end, but would also undoubtedly kick them out of the queue!
I gave them some abuse on there, it must be my all-time biggest Tweet considering I never post on there
They replied to a few people last night saying "please DM us for assistance with your tickets", so I've messaged them saying "thanks, 2 tickets for Saturday at Cardiff at the original face value please"
-
@Simon-Bates SO many people cant differentiate between a joke and the real thing.
A guy put another one on facebook yesterday saying
'I got my code for my Oasis tickets, here it is IAMUP4ABJ' and half the comments were eithe calling him stupid for putting his code up there or saying they were going to steal his tickets from him. -
My sister got to the front for Cardiff 5th July and there was nothing left. Only £400 VIP tickets.
Anything else she tried to click on failed. Couldn't even get a wheelchair ticket
