market odd ? suppose the thought is not many overs to bowl next innings if duckworth .

Exactly.... plus there's added time at the end to help finish the match. Might drift a little from here but probably not hugely. Still, plenty of profit in the bag.

AccuWeather predicts rain in Cardiff in 14 minutes - could it be time to back 'Match Completed - No' again @Richard-Futter ?

Looking at the radar I think the really heavy rain is a way off yet - perhaps an hour (that's just an educated guess) - but looks like when it comes it could be Goodnight Vienna. Think backing 'no' will be a trading winner, but might have to be quite patient.

Looks like there will be heavy rain - but probably later than first thought. It might just save Sri Lanka, who are falling in a heap here.

Some heavy rain looks like it will descend on Cardiff in the next 30 mins or so. 'no' in the completed match market currently around 1.95. Reckon that will shorten before too much longer.

Afghanistan v Sri Lanka today at Cardiff - weather allowing. Looking at the weather radar it seems there's been lots of rain at Sophia Gardens already, with quite a bit more heading their way.

This is where the Completed Match Market can provide rich dividends. It's a very popular market when the weather is inclement, and the swings back and forth as the covers are taken off and then put back on can be huge. I shall be looking to ride a few of those during the course of the day.

One thing to note is that, as this is a World Cup, they will do everything to get a match on. For a match to be completed, each side must face at least 20 overs. So they won't be quick to cancel a match and declare it a no-result unless there's a flood of biblical proportions.

Generally, when there's rain in the air, it tends to favour the side batting second, as they know exactly what they need to do to stay ahead of the DLS par score, whereas the side batting first may not even know how many overs they are likely to face.

To make up for that though, the side batting first are often given extra runs at the end of their innings to make up for that disadvantage. A lot of punters fail to anticipate this, and I've often made good money by backing them at the end of the first innings before their price plummets as the chasing side's target suddenly increases significantly.

A day like today can produce lots of profit-making opportunities, and with some major market moves in the offing, smallish stakes can give quite sizeable profits.

I know Buttler is dangerous but we cant win this now can we with that run rate required and who we have left to bat.

Are these guys any good at batting apart from Buttler.

Yes: they're all pretty good - that's why they're ranked number one in the world. Pakistan were vastly improved, while England weren't at their best today. That's sport for you - sometimes it's unpredictable as yesterday's match showed. It would be very dull otherwise though, wouldn't it?
