Who is batting first I missed the toss and its outcome.
on betfair it says SA won the toss so I am guessing its Bangledesh batting first.

This is beginning to look like yesterday's game. Hasn't been too competitive so far.

@gary-brown said in 2019 Cricket Trading Thread:

Basically this is this a NZ win its just how much you want to win with your stake?

Wouldn't go that far Gary. I fully expect NZ to win but on their day every team in this competition can overturn the odds. Around this time last year remember England were losing to Scotland!

@gary-brown that's what I was looking for.... but I see several backed NZ from the off and that's proved a nice little earner. I might have done the same if I'd seen how green the pitch was, but I missed the early stages. Good call guys.

@dave-jessop I just put a cheeky £10 on NZ at the start as I didn't want to miss out if early wickets and the chance the NZ odds would go to 1.5 or above.

So the prediction is sit and watch and maybe NZ odds increase to around 1.5.

OK.... a disappointing day yesterday, but that's the nature of the game and today it's a case of "Once more unto the breach dear friends".

New Zealand are hot favourites in Cardiff and I'll be shocked if they fall to a Sri Lanka side who fall short in all departments in my opinion. Currently the Kiwis are priced at 1.32 and if they slide out to 1.5 - 1.6 at any stage I will certainly be backing.

Quite rightly, Australia are even firmer favourites against Afghanistan in Bristol. But their current price of 1.09 is so short that it has to be a speculative low-risk lay.

Rashid Khan and Mujeeb are always capable of taking wickets, and on a slow Bristol pitch the Aussie pacemen might not be as lethal as elsewhere. The Afghan top order are capable of making a flying start. They're fragile too but at this price the downside is extremely small.

If anyone else has thoughts on these matches I'd love to hear them. Good luck to everyone today, whatever sport you're trading. I just hope the cricket's over before the big match in Madrid!

Pakistan crumbling! Won’t take long for WIndies to knock off a modest total.

laying Windies at 1.37 - two experienced campaigners here. If there's going to be a recovery it will come now.

@richard-futter one thing I’ve learnt since I started trading is to never trust what a commentator says. They never want to be wrong or look silly, so tend to just state the obvious and not challenge anything that maybe looks wrong (like those bouncers obviously!).

@simon I'm listening - and they're talking rubbish. At least three of them were above shoulder height - and they've just had one about a yard over the batsman's head . Should have been a wide. Umps definitely need a trip to Specsavers... or, even better, the Job Centre!
