Backing at 1.82

India batting first but drifting a little in the pre-match market. I think there'll be runs today unless there's an early clatter of wickets; I'll be looking to back India after 4/5 overs if they're looking strong. Their top order looks solid.

@dave-jessop I like your thinking

Interesting that Australia are ahead of India on the outright market but India slight favourites for the game.
Should be a cracker either way! -
Any advice how to play the cricket today guys
-
Is the cricket off today looking outside where I live I cant see how it could possibly be on but I don't live anywhere near the cricket grounds.
Well I live in England so I guess its closer than some people who maybe in this room

Cricket really can be the most frustrating game. It's unexpectedly clear now but there's hours of faffing around. Just get the covers off and get on with the game FFS.
-
Doesn't look like they're even working on the ground and the covers are still on, so I think they've pretty much given up the ghost on this match. Although, having said that, the radar is indicating plenty of clear weather to come.

yeah classic easy green onto tmr

Comms seem optimistic. Not that that means a thing!

market suggesting that . inspection soon ? too unsafe to play
Expect they'll have another inspection around 3-3.30. That's what they normally do, but I reckon there will be more rain - albeit in the form of showers - before then.

Think they might be close to calling this off.
-
surely a write off

Update: am being quite conservative here as, contrary to the weather forecast, the radar seems to show a lot of clear weather approaching from the south east. Reckon we'll see a sizeable drift it that transpires. The cut-off time for a 20/20 game to start is 4.19.

No way this match is going to be completed. Just hoping the price will rise when we get an hour's dry weather according to the forecast, in the early afternoon. 1.3-1.4 would be very tasty.
