Still looks like a lot of rain heading in that direction. Reckon Yes is almost certain to drift considerably at some stage.
I’m now about 5 miles away from the ground and it’s really overcast, lightly drizzling and the radar is showing heavy rain from 11-12 onwards for most of the day! Can’t believe no is out to 2.6! Gonna go back in then assess once the rain arrives!

@simon Was slightly miffed i didnt get a better price but it was due to aus having a good start and beating WI. Could have in theory got out after the Bangla game for an extra point but just stuck with the plan.

Well, judging by the market it seems we might get a game in after all. Let's hope so.

Nothing on my shortlist for trading today so have been looking forward to the world cup. Been looking at fixtures and then comparing them to the betfair prices. I think without seeing the other teams England and India are the 2 standouts but both have a lot of expectation here. The 2 that caught my eye at the prices are New Zealand and South Africa.
New zealand start with games against Sri lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. 3 must wins if you want to progress, but the 3 worst rated teams. New zealand are always thereabouts in these big comps. They have a great bowling lineup for english conditions, good odi batsmen and probably the best fielders in the comp. I just wanted to see if there was an angle of backing them at start of tourn, then after these 3 games with the momentum and people catching on to then get liability out market. Still judging that but its an angle i like and will watch the warm ups to see there squad further.
South Africa have tough start with eng and india in there first 3 games but after the india game i think they would be favourites for most of the games. If you look at their team its full of in form players from the ipl, some of the best averages in recent odi, and again they have a top class seam attack and a bowler in Tahir thats had a great record in england. They tick a few boxes i like. Their price right now is good i think but my idea of an angle here is if there is still a chance of qualifying ie other results have maybe caused shocks, then at inflated prices i may have a back of them and then just run with them through to the last few games.
Im gonna watch the warm ups closely especially west indies and australia cause i think the big teams could eye them as potential flops. Just thought i would post this to see if anyone else was having a look at an outright angle?
With india next for NZ i have taken out liability, backed it at 13.5 and managed to take it out during the aussie game at 11. Always good to see a healthy 2.5 points. I have been using the outrights pretty well, got free bets on the top 4 apart from england. Just scalping during the matches as this market isnt as quick to react. Will start to cash in on the free bets once the semis come around. SA dont look in shape for this and wanted them to have won against bangla to at least look at it. Overall though healthy profits with the outrights.

Could be a fun day this! Backed at 1.67 earlier, got out at the low of 1.36. Starting to clear up a bit so just got back in at 2.0 as radar shows certain rain after 11, and back to 1.67 already! Who needs the match!

how good weather info.., market evens my eyes

South Africa v West Indies should be a keenly contested match today. Well, it would be if there were any likelihood of it being completed.
According to the Met Office, it'll be pretty much non stop rain from 11.00 onwards, so if we think that's likely to be accurate the current odds of 1.58 on 'No' in the completed match market is a steal.
Of course, things are rarely that simple but I shall certainly be keeping a keen weather eye on the radar and concentrating on that market early on.
If the match does go ahead, I would certainly be favouring the Windies. For a shell-shocked Proteas team, only Quniton de Kock has been anywhere near the top of his game, while their opponents have plenty of potential match winners.

very good start

In to 1.58 - good profit there.
-
Re-backing at 1.74
-
Taken small profit at 1.75 due to inury to Dhawan
