Cashing in, either losing big or winning big. No in between for me in this situation.

Right; having a back of England at 1.72. History says their true price should be 1.2.

Thankfully - was waiting for better odds so haven't backed at that price 🙂

India have never chased down more than 180 in 17 attempts in England; bearing that in mind the home side look tremendous value at 1.6.

England in control, more than happy to take India on with Moeen bowling much better than Ashwin. It looks a premium opportunity for traders, you do not get too many opportunities like this in a calendar year and we've had two in this series alone.

Should be a cracking day's Test cricket today. England have to be strong, strong favourites..... but there's a lot of batting talent in the India side and just one really big stand could turn the game on its head.

@stephen-morfey said in Summer Cricket Thread:

@richard-futter good timing there, I'd been dripping backs in greening up slowly from 2.7 upwards just gone back in with a lay of India again at 2.1

Been great for swing trading this match. Every time one team gets a bit ahead the match twists and turns the other way.

Can India win back to back tests for the 1st time on English soil since 1986? I hope not.
Come on England! A lead of 250 should be enough...

    Removing liability at 2.84

Been a bit of a roller coaster but the 1.87 and 2.5 lays of India have been nicely profitable. Taking all the red out at 3.

@ian-lydon India not great chasers - anything close to 250 will be more than enough in my opinion. Have layed some more at 1.87.

Had a little lay of India at 2.5... look quite lethargic this morning and Kohli has left the field, never a good sign

Well that was an interesting first day. The draw did get down to 5.3 but after another England early order collapse, it drifted considerably before dipping again close to the end of play.

Expect to see a few swings today. If the ball continues to move as it did yesterday, England have every chance of establishing a first innings lead which should pretty much guarantee them victory.

But the lack of pace in the England attack does worry me slightly. Once again, it could all depend on Kohli.
