    Hello!

Signed up today and first impressions of the software is that it is great!

I've got a question about the Pace Letter filter and critera. When I apply a Pace Letter filter of L for 40% of the last 5 races it shows the attached in the breakdown, almost as if it isn't filtering by only L?

Pace Letter also isn't shown in upcoming qualifiers. I think I am misunderstanding its usage?

Is Pace Letter only ever assigned once the race is ended? It is not a prediction of the performance in the upcoming race?

@Danny-Newby It will be horses that are expected to be held up. If they don't yet have enough history to satisfy the pace calculation, their rating will be null and the horse won't appear in the results.

@Adam Morning mate. Would a horse with a pace rating of 0 be a horse expected to run towards the back/be held up or is 0 given when a horse does not yet have enough data to generate a pace rating?

@Danny-Newby The pace letter is assigned after the race and is an assessment of the race that was just run.

In your strategy, you're filtering on horses that led in 40% of their previous 5 runs. They didn't necessarily lead in the current race, which is why you're seeing other categories in the results grouping.

If you need a pace metric that's available pre-race, try the pace rating, which is based on the pace letters of the previous 3 races.
