@dave-jessop Snap - I will be creating a thread on here i think to document each day soon. Keep me on track and want to automate everything i do manually atm.
I have drifted away at the darts approach seems you get unstuck every so often with a run of bloody winners

@ryan-carruthers If you sell your toy compy, you could probably build an awesome gaming PC.

@Paul-Keighley
Paul:
As requested here are the files you would need to run my 2 back-to-lay systems on BFBM.
You will need to change the extension on the .pdf file to .gz in order for it to import successfully into BFBM (can't post .gz files here).
The .csv file is the format necessary for importing daily selections into the program using the 'Manage Tips' button on the Bots/Strategies tab. Simply put the correct horse's name into the appropriate box and the system will do the rest.
Staking you would need to set yourself of course. I stake 2pts on the B2L selections (this one has a stop loss built in) so if they convert you win 1.32 pts. For NHD, since this is sort of a hedge because I back those horses 0.5pts to win on the Sportsbook at BOG, I stake 1pt with no stop loss.
If you need any additional help just reply to this or ping me.
Charles

@paul-keighley thanks mate much appreciated.

Oh and I'm not going to run any bots using recovery systems or that blindly back/lay horses/dogs based solely on price as I just don't believe they can beat BSP in the longterm without an edge or using other data for your selection criteria.

@paul-keighley can you send me your bots please Paul and thanks for the offer was taking me ages trying to replicate them.
Done. I actually don't think his bots are all that useful going forward but what I will say is the process of making them all this last week has helped me understand the software a bit more such that I just created from scratch bots for the Daily email strategies and they took me about 5 minutes each to make the basic bot!
I now plan to test them the next few days to make sure they work ok and manually adding the matches using the Market Conditions filter, then duplicate them and start adding IPT filters in to them to monitor inplay stats and set some criteria such as Shots on targets, corners, dangerous attacks etc so they only fire if the games are lively enough. Will then run them all on small stakes side by side for a while, track results and tweak the inplay criteria settings and take it from there...
-
@dave-jessop I started doing a similar thing too. Seems to make sense to have more on the successful traps.

@philip-collier forgot to add [email protected] cheers

@dave-jessop OK, thanks for that, I guess it's just the luck of the draw then. As we've started in different places, we have different losing runs. I'll persevere for the moment.
Thanks again.

@dave-jessop I hope you don't mind me asking but what are your current settings on the dog bots? You seem to make it work, I can't replicate your results. I had a big loss on Saturday & turned them off. The only thing I can think of is you have them set up differently. I know from reading back on this thread that you often tweak, so I'd love to see how you are set up now.
Cheers,

Oh one more thing some of you guys might find helpful!
I see most people are using VMs in order to be able to run a 2nd instance of BFBM on one computer. Not sure how well this works yet as I haven't got to round to testing it myself yet, but in one of Cid Marcos' videos he shows how he uses a program called Sandboxie, which opens up a window on your desktop, then he drags the BFBM desktop icon into that window and its launches a 2nd copy of BFBM on the same computer without all the VM hassle! Might be worth looking into... -
Just a quick update on my BFBM progress!
Over the last week I've basically just been going through all the youtube vids and recreating all of Cid Marcos' default bots/strategies (nearly 50 of them!). I don't think I will use many of them if any going forward as without other input such as game selection, stats filters etc I just don't believe they will be profitable longterm, however I've used it as a really good learning process, getting to understand how various strategies can work technically, and now have a selection of default bots for various basic strategies that I can now adapt to my own strategies going forward.
If anyone wants a copy of these bots to adapt themselves then give me a shout and I'll happily send them on to you. (pretty much all use IPT data btw)My next plan is to attempt to create some strategies to automate the BTC daily email selections, such as Martin's LTD and Unders, Ryan's Split stake, and find the most efficient way to add the specific selections to these each day, whether that's through the tipster settings or just manually adding the team names in csv format to the "market selection" criteria as Cid does in a few of his vids. As we at least know these are profitable strategies, it will also be good practice and give us a few default strats to run each day while i then work on creating my own strategies using the Stats software.
-
@dave-jessop thanks for the idea, I do auto load both markets.
I think I might have cracked it now, comparing it with other strats, I realised that I didn't have a bet type selected, I've added default bet type - Back. I hope that's sorted it. I'll not find out until tomorrow at the earliest though as I have 1 more selection today which looks like it won't qualify.
-
Some odd behavior going on with horse markets.
I have created a strategy which uses my selections on horse place markets. I've just checked to see how things are going so far today and found that 2 events, both at Exeter (14:20 & 16:00) have issues.
The horse in the 14:20 met my criteria and should have been backed, it came 2nd and therefore should have been a winner for the strat, the other horse in the 16:00 didn't qualify & didn't place, all good so far, however, neither bet was triggered.
I would be grateful if anyone could take a look at the conditions below & let me know if you can see why it's not working.
T.i.a Neil
