BF Bot Manager

Thank you Jarratt.
I'm a real newbie where do I find 'Bet only if specific market selection is in price range'?
I presume it's under 'Market Conditions' I just can't find which menu to go to from there.Thanks,
Matt

@matt-dadley
make sure score is 1-0 0-1
30sec after market reforms
This is the part you need to play with as i have never done but i assume you want to catch the over reaction so want the price of the unders to go up to ensure its just happened so play about with this
or you coul also do it if the under2.5 price goes above 1.7?!?!?!

Hi,
Can someone help me please.
I'm trying to set up a Bot that trades after a 1st goal has been scored.I'd like to set up a couple of parameters;
1). That the Bot will only trade markets where the Under 2.5 Goals Market odds are around @1.70 on Kick Off.
2). When the score has changed to 1-0 or 0-1 I'd like the bot to 'wait' 30 seconds before it takes a position on the Under market, how do I add a slight delay to the time of entry?
Thank you for any advice.
Regards,
Matt

@Martin-Dodd - it pulls the data from a third party and I had the same idea as yourself but looking at HT stats ect. Sadly I believe they pull the data from a third party so you won't have the recoded data.

Does anyone know if it is possible to save values of a particular field in BFBM?
For example, I am working on a football strategy that places a bet at a certain time of the game. At the moment I am using Sim mode to gather baseline data by betting on every match to see which ones win/lose. I was hoping to find a way to save the values of one or two parameters (e.g. total shots, dangerous attacks) at the time the bet was placed so I could then go back to see if there are any patterns I can use to refine.
-
I love BFBM - working well for me atm and the integration with the in-play stats is the golden goose!
I think even if you don't think a strat is not going to work or others tell you it won't its always worth persuing in test mode. you never know what insights you might get out of it and what direction you might end up in.
My scalping ET bot for example - it was just blindly backing the score in ET ... built my stats and found a tweak to make it better. Ran it some more and tweaked and tweaked to something which I am happy with now ticking away at profits. Best of all I don't touch the bot at all for this. No searching for picks or anything, I just log in the AM and see if it picked anything last night.

Fortunately, I was just testing the system functionality and not using my own money!
So far I quite like BFBM, I can see potential in it....quite different to BetAngel which is a lot more intricate and seems more suitable for scalping.
Just need some green to pay for one of them now!! -
Completely agree with Jarratt. I was initially sceptical over these methods of just blindly laying dogs and then using recovery to recover, as you're essentially trying to beat teh exchange but with no edge as in selection criteria.
I've recently seen a video by Peter Webb that kind of makes the point that recovery systems are essentially just chasing losses so he doesn't use them. It seems to me just like a martingale roulette system keeping on doubling your bet until you get even, hoping not to meet the table limits! eventually you will hit a losing streak that is impossible to recover due to bankroll/liquidity etc.
Much better just to work on finding a winning strategy that has a decent enough strike rate on it's own without worrying about recovery.

@jarratt-perkins Thanks for the reply ...glad I came to the same conclusion as others.
-
So I and a previous member looked into this and exchanged thoughts.
Sadly it just does not work as you hit a few days hits and it ends up killing your bank. The only way I think you can make recovery work is by applying it to a successful strategy that works with level stakes... OR at least break even.
The only other way would be to have a HUGE bank to make small profits.
-
I've been playing with BFBM during their 1-week trial and have been tinkering with the example "Greyhound Lay Trap with recovery" bot.
My observations on this are that the success (or otherwise) of this bot seems to depend entirely on the recovery strategy rather than having an edge in the market since the strategy bets on every race regardless of which dog is in the trap.
I've never experimented with recovery strategies before so I was wondering how do people approach this and what you've had the most success with.
From what I can see, if you get a single small loss that you can recover from quickly then you might remain profitable, but if you get a second loss during the recovery then it becomes an unrecoverable position because the liability of the loss always outweighs the potential benefits of a win streak.
The graph below shows an example of this from today... 20p stakes, 100% loss recovery with max liability of £10 that resets after 6 consecutive losses. I have also been tinkering with other recovery rates/liability but a similar pattern emerges, just the magnitude of loss changes.

I am also thinking about adding this in.....
0-0 at HT 50%+
Average first goal time is 35mins plus
Average goals per game under 2.5Back under 2.5 for the first 15 mins.
What email address shall I send them to Ryan?
I also have a basic Unders bot I made when Martin had an Unders strat on the daily email. Will send you that also for you to play around with -
@paul-keighley Thank you
-
@paul-keighley Cheers Paul, thanks for link re loading selections, good infor and I've managed to work around that.
Would be good to have a look at your set up on BFBM as will save me hours of trial and error. My email is [email protected]
Thanks

@Ryan-Carruthers @Alex-H and anyone else who wants these files just message me or post here an email address and I'll send them over, as I can't upload .gz files here unfortunately.
To run Ryans's Split Stake strategy I have simply made one bot to fire at 30 mins and then Duplicated it to run at 50 mins for the 2nd stake. So you'll need to always activate both. Also, BFBM only lets you run one bot per tip, so the first Bot (A) runs off the tip (game selection input, see below), and then I've made a rule for Bot B to only fire if Bot A has a bet on the same selection, and the score id still 0-0 at the 50th minute. Seems to work pretty well.
Word of warning tho, make sure you test them in Simulation mode first, as I use IPT data for more accurate minute selection to hedge (75th min), so I have deleted those rules, but In the latest update it appears BFBM have added their own new minute selection rule, so I have added that in but have yet to test it myself, just so you know!
Below is also the link to how I use the tips system to select matches to bet on from another thread a while back, (Post number 5), tho I'm sure someone has come up with a better method by now!
