@Tony-Hastie I've only been doing this less than a year never experienced it being down in that time, what happens to people's trades when the exchange goes down?
-
@Simon-Bates Fuming, cost me a winner at the races!

If only I could Betfair

SHG in the Bristol City vs Coventry City match. 1-0 at HT

@Simon-Bates Nice bit of luck to balance out the bad.
I have always found that when looking to cash out or remove liability it is always worth just waiting for 2-3mins after a goal as another goal goes in so often. -
How it started...
How it went...
How it ended...
Was experimenting with dripping in again tonight, decided to choose a game from the BTC daily football email, my post yesterday showed a massive bit of bad luck, today I got that luck back, I had layed under 2.5 goals, when the 2nd goal went in, I decided to take out all my liability and leave myself with a £7.56 free bet, just as I was about to tap confirm, Betfair suspended the trade cos a 3rd goal went in 2 mins after the 2nd which stopped me from confirming it, stroke of luck this time cos I was able to green out for the whole £12.25 that I had managed to drip in.

@Alastair-Todd my raw data has 3 Chilean games and from those, 2 losses. Refined data, 2 selections, 1 loss.
On a side note, have you noticed the current prices in Singapore? They were always high but this year they are off the charts!!
-
@Richard-Latimer It's a strange one. Before the Nublense match I had a 100% strike rate with the Chile Premier League albeit with only 12 games on my filters so far. Just bad luck I suppose but still no excuse for not scoring with a total of 22 Shots On Goal!!
-
@Alastair-Todd Don't tell me....Nublense?
One I was keeping an eye on for an over 1.5 I'm working on. Only the 2nd Chilean selection since April and ultimately I just think this league is bad for overs. We'll see.

@Akiva-Anderson in Ireland today and Drogheda v Sligo rovers has popped up on my over 2.5 goals filter, maybe I should pop up from Dublin to watch it!
You should’ve said you were in Dublin! We could’ve met up!!
Drogheda is a shithole, but they’re fighting relegation, while Sligo are pushing for a European place.
-
Wow! A Chile match last night - 19 goal attempts and 16 shots on goal in the second half alone, and not a single goal.

@Akiva-Anderson I am with you, what was wrong with the old format?!
You’re gonna see a lot of teams hammered in this new format
-
@Akiva-Anderson it's a good mindset to be in, I don't fear losses now at all either, I haven't for a while, it's just part of trading that people need to get used to.

Everyone loves showing off their good trades as much as I do, but I have no problem showing my losing trades too, today I was experimenting with dripping in, I chose this match and dripped in at various stages of the game, the score was 1-0 at half time, so dripped in on lay under 2.5 goals, managed to get £48.33 in with £14 liability, a goal went in on 91 minutes so cashed out for a £2.21 loss to save some of my liability only to see a goal go in 2 minites later, a little annoying about how much profit I could have made but can still laugh about the trade.
Don't be ashamed of your losses, it happens, even when luck isn't on your side like my trade today, use them to learn, even though I could've won a decent profit today, I chose to lower my loses to lessen the loss on the trade, as I said at the start of this, I was experimenting, if goals had gone in earlier I'd have took some green, they didn't so I took a smaller loss instead unbeknown there would be a last minite goal.
A very good point. Losing trades mean nothing to me now. Even if I have a bad day / week, it always bounces back.
