I've noticed googles football clock is always a few minutes in front of betfair, would you look at the betfair stats or googles for more reliability?

Nothing you could exploit unfortunately. Probably only way you might get an edge would be on really weak obscure games that wouldnt be covered by feeds (which i doubt comes as a surprise). They would be manually traded with probably one trader managing a dozen or so games. Prem games etc will be fully automated and traded by the model based on a full set of event and odds feeds. The whole thing runs sub 2 second letency which is more than covered by the bet placement system and its double checks so i doubt you could even beat it at the game on the major leagues.

Yep. worked at 365 for 7 years as a developer. Left about 18/19 months ago.
For that 7 years i worked on Soccer, 5 of them exclusively InPlay (that last 2 years was rewriting the PreGame stuff to use the same technology as InPlay).

The entire soccer inplay ecosystem was rewritten from the ground up. That rewrite started a couple of months after i joined the company (i was one of the first on that team) and took about 2 and as half to 3 years. Though we did make many pretty big updates after that. Its a pretty impressive system.

I use a mixture of Bet365/Sofascore but I also use a normal clock.

If the game KO at 4.30pm I know roughly HT is 5.15pm SH is 5.30pm and finished 6.15pm roughly.

    Which always helps!

Never use Betfairs timings for anything

Personally I use Sofascore or Flashscore which are both free apps
