    Hi Folks.

    New to the BTC, hi to all.

    Anyone here have much info on laying the winning team in play as the game goes beyond half time, or the scoreline offers low risk to lay the winning side?
    Last night a good example, Liverpool 2 up and at approx 15 minutes they were at 1.15 on Betfair to lay and we all know how this ended up! Im relatively inexperienced at trading, but ive picked up a few wins already using this option, and ive watched a few games where right at the death an equaliser comes in, Saturday Real Sociedad v Celta Vigo at 90 minutes Real were 1.03 and conceded in injury time, Brentford Equalised against Palace at 90+6 minutes also.
    Going to really keep a track on these moving forward, but wondered if anyone already on this wheel?
    Thanks, T

    @martin Yeah its pretty common for the big teams to muster the fightback and that old saying a 2 goal lead is never enough is true. Im trying to focus on games that the favourite has to claw back an equaliser, even the one goal. What ive noticed though is when games that both teams go for it its worth hanging around in the dying embers as the option to Lay the draw is also there. I notice Sassuolo 3 - 2 Cremonese was like this and having a 2-0 ht lead Sassuolo then were pegged back to 2-2, at which point cashing out then LTD becomes an attractive option, or be bold and stay in for both with very low liability on both counts. I know these games are not a plenty but without a doubt they are out there.
    Keep up the podcasts, really enjoy them 🙂

    @terry-aikman I saw that Arsenal one and thought of this, especially as they have a habit of making these comebacks don't they!

    @chris-osborne have you kept any records buddy?
    Seems like there’s plenty offers of opportunities to get on but to what success rate is the key I guess.

    @martin Ive been keeping an eye on games via live viewing or stats as the game progresses in the SH.
    Of course we need the luck to be there but if we go in at 1.2 and below then there indeed can be money in this. Today Arsenal were a prime example of opportunity, 2-0 down to Bournemouth but good ol betfair crashed!!!! Derby threw away a 2-0 lead as did Queens Park v Morton. Also witnessed Marseille equalising at 90+6 during week 1.05 at 90 minutes. Im watching and learning but ready to roll out some trades now, see where it leads........

    Might be a good stat to check as well in the software what happens to the teams that led, if its a poor % of them holding onto that with ELO you will have a cracking strategy.

    @martin said in Lay the winning team:

    @terry-aikman

    @richard-latimer used to have a great filter for this, do you still have it anywhere?

    I used the ratings, mainly ELO. Never had a filter.

    I'll look at laying an underdog wh's leading especially away from home if the inplay stats are strongly in favour of the favourite at HT
