Over 3.5 market - lay
-
Hello,
I am new to BTC and trading. I am currently in a learning phase.
Over the last few weeks I have been focusing on laying the ov 3.5 markets. My strategy is simple but effective. If odds are between 3 and 4, there is enough liquidity, the in play stats and pictures show a quiet start, I’ll enter the market. As soon as my lay bet is matched, I place several back orders to progressively remove my liability and protect my bank should a goal came in. I am in for less than 10 min. All is good so far, the strike rate is really high and I tend to get 10 to 20% profit - amazing. I use a very basic filter which gives me a lot of matches and I’d like to filter out matches with low liquidity. I added a criteria to my filter - OV 3.5 traded more than 5k (ideally I would prefer 10k) but it seems that the ov 3.5 does not get much liquidity until later in the game and I often end up with no selections for the day.
Could someone who has traded this market suggest an approach to finding quality/liquid matches?
Thanks

@david-baker-0 speed when placing back orders and liquidity are key for this to work. Plan your stakes and the increments in advance. Let me know if you find a way to improve the strategy. Best, N

@david-baker-0 it’s Ryan’s filter - under 3.5 video, that I slightly amended - odds between 3 and 4 and liquidity over 5k, although the last criteria limits the number of markets showing in the filter too drastically.

@nick-segura Hi Nick I don’t suppose you could share your filter,I really like the sound of trading the u3.5.

@nick-segura yes specify the leagues you want to trade on the software, remove the lower liquid leagues so stick to main Euro leagues top div only (except Eng, Fra, Ger, Spa and Italy where you can use 2nd div). Arg 1 and Brazil 1, Japan 1 and China 1 (maybe Korea 1), Australia 1, USA 1 (maybe Mexico 1). See how you get on with that!
