Betfair T&C changes.

I see that Betfair have changed there T&C's, has these items always been in there?
Suspicious Betting
12.1.1 where there is an inordinate frequency and/or highly unusual pattern of Bets (by comparison with betting norms) placed on the same selection(s) in a short space of time;
12.1.2 where there is an inordinate frequency and/or highly unusual pattern of Bets placed on the same selection(s) and where the theoretical probability of said selection(s) winning at the time of Bet(s) placement, based on the odds offered on the selection(s) at the time of Bet placement, is largely inconsistent with the theoretical probability of the same selection(s) winning calculated using their accumulated starting prices. By way of illustrative example only, if there was an inordinately large number of Bets placed on a multiple or permutation with combined odds of 250/1 (with a theoretical 0.004% probability of winning based on the odds) and that same multiple or permutation had combined odds of 12/1 based on the Starting Prices of the selections (a theoretical 7.7% probability of winning), this may trigger the suspicions contemplated by this clause 12.1.2;
12.1.3 where the integrity of an event (or events) has been called into question, including, for example, but not limited to where one (or more) of the participants in an event displays exceptional form which we reasonably believe was known to you or someone connected to you at the time of Bet placement but was concealed from the public generally in order to gain an unfair advantage in any Bets placed on that event (or those events);
12.1.4 where we have reasonable grounds to suspect that a Bet or a string of connected Bets were placed robotically, by automated means, or otherwise than through the Account holder placing each Bet manually via their Account; -

@john-folan I am raising again with all this information - will keep you updated.
I get the feeling there is something else they are annoyed with that they have not told you, I hope you manage to ge tit overturned

@richard-lillis-0 it honestly makes no sense. Unless they are trying to stop people doing their own
-
If you go their official apps directory it’s included. Here’s the link
https://apps.betfair.com/automated-betting/bf-bot-manager/
I think it’s to stop people creating their own bots. Basically Betfair want the dollar!.

This is mad as BFbot are part of the Betfair Vendor Programme. So they are accredited and authorised to provide this service by Betfair!!!
How can they justify having bots part of Betfair Vendor Programme and at the same time have the following in their T&C's
12.1.4 where we have reasonable grounds to suspect that a Bet or a string of connected Bets were placed robotically, by automated means, or otherwise than through the Account holder placing each Bet manually via their Account;
-
@john-folan I wasn't aware of that, think i will follow this up and contact them again, i may then have to take it further. Worst thing that ever happened to betfair was a bookmaker buying it.....

@dan-mackinnon yes i actually did this and also was a different address as i had moved. Initially everything was ok - but after a couple of weeks they closed it and when i asked they said 'dupliacte account'. Assuming they got me on DOB etc
-
@richard-lillis-0 could you not set up another Betfair account under a different email?
-
@ryan to be honest after it happened i was that angry i just gave up, i'm not a full time trader so just knocked it on the head. In the past there was never enough liquidity in-play on horses but haven't looked recently so will be something i will explore. I'm going to start looking to trade on the football small stakes and see where it goes - got accounts with Betdaq, Smarkets and matchbook.
-
@richard-lillis-0 very sad day when they ban you from an exchange! Does your strategy work on Betdaq? I know you can get a fairbot version for betdaq
-
@martin didn't speak to BFBot, CS at Betfair told me was a trading decision then shut down the conversation. I then followed the complaint procedure and received a call explaining that it was due to use of BOT. The frustrating part is that i was only using BOT to place bets at start of race and lay for certain % in-running. I argued that i wasn't getting an advantage or manipulating the markets but they just didn't care. Sad day when bookmakers ban you from an exchange....
-
@richard-lillis-0 did they give a reason for closing your account? Did you speak to BFBot?
-
Hi, i'm a returning member - i left trading as my betfair account was closed for using BF Bot Manager about a year ago. I was absolutely fuming as i mainly trade horses in-play and the other exchanges just don't have enough liquidity. I didn't even know they could do this and have been through a long complaint procedure which ended with my account remaining closed. I recently decided to return to trading on a smaller scale with other sports using other exchanges, but it has had a massive impact on my income.

@dene-topliss mines going that way. Stuff like this worries me

That last one is interesting as they allow bot betting. I’m pretty sure they only want people using registered bots they get a slice of and not unofficial ones.
I was starting to panic... All my trading is automated
