Hi guys I'm hoping I've posted this in the right spot apologies if it isn't

I've recently made a automated strategy for Lay 1st Set.. i don't know if somebody on here has already done this.. I'm just wondering about the hedge % what would you recommend.. haven't sent this live yet I have some other tweaks I want to implement first.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

@andrew-findlater Games will probably pick up next week when post Wimbledon tournaments start.

Also the filters your referring to are odds dependent and may not qualify

The only game in the fixtures is the mens final tomorrow which will qualify for Ryan's 33/44 filter tomorrow.

@martin sorry I don't think I phrases that properly. I meant when I run and export the filter they are no results. But having looked at football over the last couple of days I think that's because there were no matches to the criteria.

Random and potentially stupid question. How do I use the members filters? Are they to complement my filters or are they stand alone? I have tried both Martin's and Ryan's but they don't yield any results? So I assume they are complimentary?

How long have you been following them and what are your results?

@martin oooo no I haven't, there is just so much to look at...a little overwhelming 🤣 I didn't even know there was filter.

I am assuming this is a % for both players to go the distance?

I have just had a look and it looks like Wimbledon on Monday will be the next chunk to go at. Will the 11am ones be removed as soon as it goes to 11:01?

    Thanks

@joe-beeston have you checked out my filter on the software? I like players to have a high percentage of matches that go the distance.

There's a couple of stats which may help in the filters - % of 3 set matches and also Won 1st Set lost 2nd and also Lost 1st set won 2nd

I look for a couple of things - Underdogs who have won the 1st set as long as the favourite is motivated to get back into the match or a close and competitive set that could go either way

For me I wouldn't automatically lay all 1st set winners needs to be player dependent. For example I'm unlikely to lay Switatek if she wins the first set but players like Pliskova, Giorgi Kasatkina etc who can look like world beaters one minure and like they've never picked up a racket the next I will more often than not getinvolved

With laying the first set...are people just laying any game after the first set is won or are people being more picky?

I am in profit after 4 days of small stakes but that is only because my first day was a big profit day.

Any help is great as I am a starter.

t per trade or how much liability to remove and when.

    Thanks for the reply Chris,

I'm not very good at explaining these things I'm afraid, ill try though lol

If Player A win set 1:

Player A win price is 1.3 I stake here
When Player A Win price Increases what % of a increase of price would I take (Go Green On)..
If Player A Price Decreases what % of a decrease of the (1.3) would I take to safely exit (Trade Out) with out to much loss

Hope this is clear.. I know what I mean but don't articulate it very well lol

Obviously as its automated its probably different to what steps you have in place..

What do you mean by hedge % is it amount of profit you expect per trade or how much liability to remove and when.

I trade manually not with automation but I would potentially remove 50% liability on the initial break and the rest of our player holds. I will either cash out at this point or wait to the end of the set.

As a rough guide, I’m generally happy with 30/40% profit but it’s player dependent I’ll just cash out on occasions after our player breaks especially in wta matches where holding serve is becoming increasingly rare

What parameters have you set if the trade goes against you.

Be interested to see how this develops
