Over 1.5 Strategy
-
Hi team,
I'm pretty new here. Well 2nd day but already trying to have a go at the over 1.5 strategy. I'm using the preset filters on the software (Neil over 1.5 two) . Is this any good? And what's your advice on an exit. I'm waiting for a goal and then cashing out for a green. But what if there isn't a goal, how long should I wait? Can I do another bet on the event to offset the loss at all?

@william-jackson Hi William and welcome to the community. In my experience it depends on when you put the stakes in, but I'd say if no goals after 70 minutes just get out as the price starts to rapidly decrease from then due to time decay. If starting on small stakes you will make it up as the strategy claims 80% strike rate, so you'll make it up.
Kind Regards
Jason

Thanks guys. Just noted that the most profitable preset filters don't show any results. I assume this is because all the big leagues are finished for the season?
More to do with current international break. There are a number of leagues mls, Norway etc which play over the summer which should be back next week.

Welcome William, you have found a great place to learn here
As Ryan said, the Ryans Split Stake strategy is a great one to start with. Its a slow burn but a solid, consistent strategy. It is a great place to start learning and tracking data whilst getting a feel for the markets.
Interact with people on the forum, there are no stupid questions, and you will always find someone willing to give you a helping hand.
Best of luck with your trading.

@william-jackson Hey buddy welcome.
One of the things I haven't ever done is use other bets or trades on the events - effectively insurance.
This is personal preference though, I don't want to use insurance because:
It increases exposure to the market
Its another market to have to keep an eye on
It's kinda of chasing lossesHappy to expand on those if you need me too
I would start with Ryan's Split Stake strategy.

@william-jackson From my own experience (which is not as substantial as some people on this forum) if a game is 0-0 by 60 - 70 mins then I would look to cash out... depending on how active the game looks, quite often you can get 2 goals in the last 20 mins of a game though. Again this depends on the league and the teams that are playing etc, Overall it comes down to how much risk you are willing to take and as time goes on you get a feel for when goals look to be coming and if it is worth hanging around in the market or not. If you wanted to try and offset the O1.5 you could back over 0.5 goals late in the game at higher odds, if 1 goal is scored then you should at least scratch the trade., If the game goes 0-0 though you have a double loss, again it is a how much risk you are willing to take sort of thing.
