With some of these strategies starting to look promising, is anyone else concerned about users of the software increasing and making the strategies less profitable or maybe not profitable at all? Am I just being paranoid here or could we have a big enough effect on the market to cause that to happen?
Good question that. I think we are alright tbh unless we are trying to do back to lays or lay to backs on utter outsiders. Laying short odds or mid range backs for example will always be fine. Plenty of liquidity. Same with dobbing and trobbing fancied horses.
Saying this by the pool while I watch some bloke chat up two girls. He was doing alright till he said he liked Justin Bieber

@wayne-ironside wow is that on your Pace Letter Backs? very impressive
-
- We are a tiny percentage of the market liquidity, a mere drop in the ocean. Also most members will not follow a strategy (even a good winning one, for a variety of reasons especially non horse traders) so the number becomes even smaller.
- This is why we encourage everyone to follow good strategies but also test thier own along side that. Give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime etc.

@wayne-ironside impressive results to date, Had a quick look at the filter last night is it a straight backing strategy or in view of the odds, are you DOBing.?
Just straight backs

@lee-woodman I am running the original version and on 50p stakes have gone from £20 starting bank to £80 in 3 weeks!
That's a 300% increase! Good work

@lee-woodman Will be doing the same myself. Will go at 1% and raise accordingly .Am running it in Smarkets to keep it separate from my football strategies
-
@david-baker-0 Im only testing a few strategies as i build a portfolio and its about 120 points up in less than a month. Im just nudging the stakes up each week, as the strategy makes profit

@david-baker-0 This filter has been doing amazing for the last couple of months of testing. I think I’ve tweaked the odds range slightly but there are quite a few long odds winners
-
A very good day for Wayne’s pace letter backs today.Including a nice 44.0 winner.Shame I’m only doing 50p stakes!

I noticed this with some of them too. Not sure if it's because recent updates have caused some incompatibilities, but in most cases I could work out what was meant to be in the missing fields by reading the contents of the json file. They are quite human readable.
Yes, exactly this. We have no way of editing exported settings files unfortunately, so on the rare occasion when we do make changes to the structure of the settings, that could potentially invalidate any previously exported files.
