Horse Racing Strategies Megathread
-
Hi Guys, so this is my second attempt at a strategy. Ive just focused on backing favs in Maidens at certain courses, 10 mins before the off.
Seems to show profit of £674.86 but as before i would love it if someone could check my workings incase ive fluffed something.

Loving the new racing software and loving the fact you can’t create and update strategies on my iPhone
Not sure if that was a typo, but there shouldn't be anything stopping you from creating them on your phone. Fire a support ticket over if it's not working and I'll check it out

Loving the new racing software and loving the fact you can create and update strategies on my iPhone, you can also import the above strategies on the iPhone by clicking on the .json link above, then highlight the text and click on share and save to files, this will be save in the documents folder as a text file, you can then change the name of the file by copying and pasting the full .json file name and then click on upload button on the software and find the file you just saved and the strategy is built on your phone

Just checked and there is a bit of a difference in some cases annoyingly:
Quite a bit as well in the scheme of things. People more likely to want bsp than race start if that helps
-
@Adam Apologies I did log a support ticket on Ansa but realised I wanted to add more detail and couldn't work out how to update the ticket, I have attached the .json file, the strategy runs for a while then flashes up the results briefly and then dissappears, not sure if you could have a quick run of it and see if you get a similar result?

This seems like a good place to ask this...
We've had a few tickets where people are seeing blank strategies in their config.
I think this is because they're creating a strategy, probably running it to see the results, and then forgetting to save it.
I think this is because of where the "Save Strategy Settings" button is. We should probably move it to the results area, so the logic is:
- Create new strategy
- Create rules etc
- Run the strategy
- Happy? If yes then click save
The question is where in the results section? It's quite a big area and could still disappear off the screen depending on which part you're viewing.
Maybe a little fixed popup in the bottom right should appear when the results are displayed, with something like "Happy? Remember to save your settings!" and a save button...
P.S. I don't want to just auto-save it when the strategy is run, because if the results are no good then you probably don't want to save them.
Maybe swap the “next” button to a “save” button? It could act as a “save and progress to the next stage” thing? -

Sorry I was being lazy. Could we actually use BSP as an entry point? It would be handy
Do you think this would be different to setting Race Start as the entry time? That uses the actual race start time including any delays. Genuine question as I haven't tested it.
-
Hi All, could someone please do me a favour and run this strategy in their software, it is a Back to lay strategy for me it runs then appears to "time out" the results flash briefly on the screen and then no results.
Not sure if it is my browser or something but wanted confirmation as it is bugging me a bit

@john-folan I wonder if a straight dob or trob option would be helpful?
-
Settings for Dobs/Trobs
On the execution Settings Using Profit as an exit point
1 point Dob
2 Point TrobOr using a percentage
100% Dob
200% TrobWhen you are using the filters though it is different.
BSP Greater than Lowest Price Inrunning
Multiplier
2.0 Dob
3.0 TrobOR
Lowest Price Inrunning Less Than BSP
Multiplier
0.5 Dob
0.33 TrobThen whatever percentage of whatever number of runs you want
100 % of Last 5
70% of Last 10
70 % of 'all' etc -

Here it is
0_1652642248346_Lay previous losers.txtI've also removed BSP as we aren't going to know that two hours before the off. This has more selections but shows £232 profit to £1 stakes 0_1652681563422_rules_export (8).json
