@john-folan that looks great John, as Martin said in his video yesterday mate we all owe you a great deal of thanks here
Itβs all good mate. We all share and share alike. Iβve learnt loads the last few weeks from what other people have shared.

@Martin You may as have this as well. Its on Β£200 profit after 1063 trades so an ROI of 17%. I have live traded these since the 26th of April when I hit an 8 point downturn but they have recovered to be in profit by 31 points after 156 trades with a 19% ROI. They are averaging a strike rate of 62%, which is great considering your biggest liability is 1.4 points.(Better than laying the CS in a football match ). I've posted a couple of screens giving the overall and monthly p and l.
Short Odds Lays with some filtering. Odds range of 1.8-2.4.

@john-folan maybe @martin could add the dates to when each strategy was posted as forward testing wouldn't be required for those seeing the strategy a few months later then.
good idea!

I'm going to build base filters for all of these and then put the results pre back fitting, should help really show the super strong ones!
Good idea that Martin. I've added how to calculate drawdowns and maximum drawdowns in my horse racing resources thread. It's in the OP. People might find it useful generally.

@martin I agree to that. I think it might be a good idea to trial each strategy for a couple of months before entering them onto the BTC strategy list. They could then be rated & classified according to overall profit, downturn, etc. This would give users a better understanding of what to expect and perhaps cut down the trial period before any live run.
Not a bad idea to have two lists. New and forward tested. Also I suggest people download the individual results and create a running total column(easy enough in excel) then run a graph on it so you can see the peaks and troughs. I also run a drawdown percentage calculator on mine to get a real feel for it. You can then see how that waxes and wanes as it goes along. You basically want it acting in a similar fashion going forwards as it has done in the past. Up to you how you forward test. You can start with Β£1 stakes compounding (as I do). Or just check the software weekly or monthly. Just bear in mind that one good or bad month going forward doesnβt make it a good or bad strategy and horse racing is very seasonal(summer jumps different to the winter, the flat season, the all weather being different in winter to summer).

@john-folan thought it was a bit too easy to bang out profitable strategies now i know how that bit works I'll go back to the drawing board - thanks again for your help John
Still profitable mate. 100 plus points a year is not to be sniffed at. You only need a few of those

@john-folan thanks John, I'll take a look

@stuart-hutchinson allegations made me laugh!
Yes we are adding more data and the backfitting is eliminated by forward testing, hence why I mention forward testing many many many many times including in the FAQ in the opening post of this very thread
I was more referring to the data aspect of the comments really which would be good agree 100% on the filter selection with the back fitting aspect and forward testing as you say.

@mark-holmes Hi matey, thanks for sharing. I only looked at one of them, but you need to specify an entry time under the execution settings. I had a nose at the maiden and hunt one and it doesn't have one. That said it's still profitable with an entry point 10 seconds out with taking a price between 1.01 and 1000. even more so between 3.5 and 9 :). Have a little play but should give you between 10-15 points a month which is superb.
