Wasn't sure about this one and I want to watch it going forward a little. but this is Dobbing Zero Paced Horses in Irish National Hunt Flat Only. Will mean multiple horses per race but looks the nuts. Over 10.0 Only. This is profit to £1 flat stakes. I haven’t run the money maker yet
I could run a check through this to see if multiple horses are worth keeping, what's the criteria?
I will whack up the settings for you later. Tbh pretty much every race is multiple selections. The odds filter then wipes a few out.

Heres another one I just came up with tonight for backing favs in handicap races at certain tracks:
Using the 1% of bank as the starting stakes and building as the bank builds brings in a cool £36k over the last 14 months.
Heres the settings file: 0_1652135179860_Back Handicap Favs.json
Bumping for my reference
Best thing I have ever discovered on this forum is the bookmark post button .

I've made a LTF short courses filter focusing only on course, no. of runners and distance. It can be tweaked further but after reviewing the actual results the P/L seems accurate.
If anyone has any suggestions how to make it better I'll be happy to hear them.
Taking into account what someone said about the difference between handicap vs non-handicap, is it worth starting every strategy from that perspective? Make 2 filters for each
@Adam is there a way to download the link above?

I think we might need to change the way our strategy ratings work....there are some crackers being created and it basically tells everyone they're rubbish :face_with_tears_of_joy:
I did once get 2 star, it's a tale I will tell to my grandchildren one day!
-
I have a 2 star but with a 7% strike rate. Very high variance 51% ROI though if you can handle it.

Following on from why you should separate handicaps from non-handicaps. You should also keep non-handicap race type separate. The huge difference in SR makes it clear why. You can clump Hurdle/Chase together. There is no need to do it with handicaps, as the difference is only about 2%.
Stats are based on Favs.

I just had a really good query about lay the field and wanted to share the advice I gave.
This person had a strategy with various reasonable rules for picking lay the field opportunities, and their execution settings were configured like this:
They wanted to know why some horses that traded below 2.0 (including the winner) weren't getting captured by this setup.
The reason is that when you enter a combination of price range and entry time, the software will look for horses that traded within that range from the entry time onwards. So in this case, it's looking for horses that traded at exactly 2.0 at some point after 1 second before the race.
So any horses that were already below 2.0 at that time, and stayed there for the whole race, would be missed.
In lay the field, I would think in most cases you'd be happy if a lower price was matched as it only reduces your liability on that horse. This is probably the case for lots of straight lay systems tbh.
So all they needed to do was change the entry price range from 2.0-2.0 to 1.01-2.0. That way you're catching those runners that are already trading lower than your chosen price.
I think what would also help here is if we add results groupings for lowest in running price (like the BSP bands in the results presentation). That will help you to zero in on a good lay price for lay the field strategies.
The other thing I mentioned to this person was: why restrict your entry time to 1 second before the race? The other strategy rules were all things that were known before the market opened, so you may as well pick "Market Open" as the entry time, and then you have more chance of getting these low-priced lays matched during the history of the market. There was one possible exception in this case, which was number of runners. Obviously there can be runners withdrawn, so if you need to wait till you're sure there won't be any more runners removed, that's fair enough.
I've added this to my list of tutorial videos to do. As soon as things settle down a bit I'll record all those videos!
