Horse racing set and forget strats
-
Hi all, signed up to the horse racing software today and know very little about horses and wonβt have the time to trade in running so if anyone has any possible angles that could work for set and forget strategies that could get the juices flowing would be greatly appreciated?
Having watched Martins video I started on a variant of laying beaten favs. Overall profit rating of 1.6 but a small negative on the expectation score despite overall profit looking good

What options do you get if you right click it?
-
@adam said in Horse racing set and forget strats:
Depending on the browser you use, you should be able to right click and select "download link".
Which browser Adam? Edge is useless for that

Sorry gents I'm not ignoring you but I seem to have lost the latest version of this strategy as it only has one rule in it now after today's update?! I'll have to recreate it and filter the courses again for the best ones then post back here.have you let @Adam know via support on the software? It may be recoverable

@keith What does the strategy results show for this? I canβt get any results to load/show. Cheers.
I'm having the same problem I have asked @Adam to take a look so I'll let you know what he says

Cheers Keith, re the lowest BSP rule, could you just select the Favourite rule instead?
I'm going to start by not excluding favourites and look at price ranges, DSLR, race types. Will let you know how I get on...

Hi Kevin
Yeah I would think that would be the same outcome as using the top ranking BSP
I'm filtering by course too with these as it seems some courses are better performing than others -

@Martin @Kevin-Pepper This is how mine is setup, I added the additional filter of it must be the lowest priced horse (BSP) this time out as I want to be laying favs
Note this is just the Hurdle version, I'm working on the other race codes. -
@kevin-pepper I think that should be it but not got it to run, did yours work?

@martin I set up a reverse strategy last night trying to capitalise on horses that have won their last race(s) and hoping the odds for the next race are artificially lower off the back of their recent form and laying them. Now just to fine tune it
interesting I really like that idea! maybe I should try one!
I like this angle as well but I'm struggling to work out the rules to select based on the horse winning their last race. If I use the 'Finishing position' = 1 rule and place a lay bet it quite obviously lays all the winners! Is there a Rule to select Won Last Time Out?
Thanks
KevinUPDATE:
I think I've cracked it but would be grateful if someone can confirm the following is the way to do it....
