Looking at both the home and away percentages to be 85% plus!
Definitely something in this, just need to do a bunch of testing

For anyone interested, results of my first month of forward testing the U3.5 strategy with thresholds increased to 85 per cent on previous home and away matches having under 3.5 are below:
19 trades
16 wins
SR 84.2%
P/L +9.2 or up £27.59 to £10 stakesOnly a month in but will test for at least a couple more months
That's very interesting are you looking at overall percentage at 85% (so H and A combined) or are you looking individually at home being 85% and away being 85% or above?
Its actually had a good month last month with a very good SR I know its been struggling but there have been some interesting tweaks suggested with taking Saturdays out and now this 85% angle that makes me think this could be a very viable strategy moving forward. Keep up the good work Andy and keep us posted -
@andy-donnelly very stong!

@nick-allan one I would want to test more and maybe tweak settings, I don't advise investing in this strategy personally at this point
oh im paper trading it, been doing for 4 months and agree at the moment not good enough to take live, but i have been recently looking at it 2 ways with laying o3.5 but that in the very early days of testing
when you you think the backtesting software is going to be ready @Martin

@terry-heller You need to open the spreadsheet to anyony with a link. At the moment I think you only have it set to yourself.
Ahh could you tell me how to do that please?

I wouldnt touch any of the lower english leagues with my over 1.5

@chris-king I have made a copy of the sheet with the calculations so it might be wise to check my calculations and useful for me to know too if I have made any errors

@terry-heller Would 98 Saturday games be enough to assume a long term profit could be made by laying them ?
I am glad you asked because when I checked the count i have double that number so i must have messed up with the copy and pasting.
Doing it right my figure now comes out at half what i said which is still quite impressive though a touch embarrassing that i made the mistake.Half is £187.76 for 98 games? I’d say that was damn good profit

@sean-fitzgerald Very interesting. I have my theories about Saturdays or weekends quite often. The UK Sat 3pm too which i now avoid if only to reduce the volume.
One test I’m doing turned out to be better without weekends at all. Less trades, better ROI.
If i have a gut feeling about something relating to a strategy I try to look in to it too as it can sometimes really change things for the better as you’ve found here
