Set & Forget Football Strategies
-
@Trevor-H yeah people do get confused thinking they are my tips, I will see if I can get the name changed. The three in the OP of this thread are the ones I currently really like, that said not a tipster and can't guarantee they will keep doing well. This is all part of a community project we started a year and a half ago to find some good strategies to share.

@Martin An email headed 'BTC Football selections for today' sounds pretty much like a tipping service to me but, semantics aside, if the only way an email strat can be assessed is by seeing if it 'works for you', that isn't much help to a newcomer. I hope the historical testing results are available, at least, because otherwise we have to either paper trade for several months to gauge profitability for ourselves or take 'we tested them for months' as a green light to invest. I've requested access, but since I didn't sign up to BTC with a Google account you'll need to email my gmail address (contact.thexxxxxxx) so I can verify. Clearly, a backtesting facility will be a huge improvement and eliminate any doubt, so fingers crossed for that.

@Trevor-H these were strategies shared by members that did well, tested them for months and they worked. We aren't a tipping service, I know I say that a lot but we aren't, are they not working for you? I have asked which ones should be removed but people seemed happy with them. You just need to request access as it's a members only sheet which I can't stop public viewing unless it's private.
-
@Martin Access blocked. That aside, Martin, people on here are paying good money for a service that includes these daily email tips, and you're saying you don't even keep track of the results to know how well or badly they're doing? Really? How can you say they're 'profitable', then?
-
@Trevor-H ah do you mean the trading ones? I only have strike rates for those and haven't kept track for a while, waiting for the backtesting now as that will use the real odds which will give an accurate assessment on them. Here is the old sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1baRoxh9Jup5FkTKptcwgueSHxymonRerebbq24s1FD8/edit#gid=302333289

@Martin Yep, those put a bit of a dent in my progress with this stratagy, but it's a long game.
The most encouraging thing for me is that, I looked through the past data and did some filtering and came to the same conclusion, so it's good to know that my 'trading brain' is heading in the right direction if you've come up with the same views.

Still need more data my end but I guess it's unsurprising that lower leagues have underperformed so far my end. That strat is based around form so which is more steady with the better teams.
For example Brazil C is poor but Brazil A excellent

Morning. Just in case anyone is interested. This is an analysis of just under 280 games on the lay away strat.
The first tab shows the leagues and country breakdown. Not enough data yet to draw any lasting conclusions I'd say but interesting to see how it looks currently.
In terms of odds. Currently sub 2.8 is at a small loss for me but nothing major. There is a chunk around 4.1-4.8 ish where a large portion of loss lies and the higher odds are the strongest area (but obviously they most susceptible to swing in the wrong direction too!).

@ross-love I don't use it but it's still available in the members section I think.
Nothing is scrapped per say this community project is for testing strategies members have done well with. They aren't tips from me or anything like that.
