Set & Forget Football Strategies

@matt-wood Thanks Matt, appreciate the feedback!
I'm only live trading @£2 stakes, rather than paper trading; this is because my emotional responses and level of risk are different when real money is on the line. You only have to play poker online to see how differently players bet and play with real money, rather than at practice tables.
For reference, I've started with a £50 bankroll and while I've had more wins than losses while learning, i don't seem to break out beyond my initial bankroll. Invaluable though the training has been (made losses on my initial trades but learned quickly to moderate stakes with logic rather than emotion), I now feel ready to take half a step further forward.
Let me ask the question another way; is there anything, any training or method that I could take advantage of, to improve on my success? As a bus driver, 'Bet and Forget' seems a made to measure strategy for me but i could adapt easily as trades become profitable

@julian-drake-clarke Welcome to BTC Julian.
I think you have seen how good it is here mountains of knowledge available.
You are 100% right about the blue chip companies, the guys here, Martin, Ryan and Adam actually listen to their members and actively try to implement things they hear from us.
In theory you won't need anything else. On paper scale up your bank, then scale up you £2 stakes and you will see what sort of return you will get.
Appreciate the quote, here is another for you: "You don't have to be flashy. You have to be fundamental." (bonus points if you know who said that)

@martin Its been just over a week since i've joined and i'm finding it all very exciting. I've loaded up the 'over 1.5' strategy and...bloody hell, it works! Tested it with £2 stakes and its giving me a steady return, which is amazing!
I'm just finding my way around and haven't got into stats. I'm just working on football as this seems the simplest strategies to put into action.
So, do i really need anything else?
I'm totally loving the community, as we all seem to be on the same journey together. The knowledge available is mind boggling and the support is something that some major Blue Chip companies could learn from. I'm seriously impressed!
Anyone here that has been in martial arts knows the saying, "I am not afraid of your 10,000 techniques, i am afraid of your one technique practiced 10,000 times!"
So, if i'm making a profit from 'over 1.5' goals, can i progress to making an income as a trader from just this? Do i need anything else?
Id be interested to know if others are getting the same progress too

Hi all,
Has there been some updates to the ELO Home filter? I've just checked the spreadsheet but can't see the Cincinnati / Toronto games on my filter (they're under different filters, just not the ELO).
Cheers!

Hey @martin, a potential improvement to the software could be an add on that notifies you (via email, text, telegram etc) that a match has met the filter criteria….. probably
been mentioned before but if not there you go.@ryan is this something we could add? like email alerts? seems a great idea

@fraser-cord thanks mate, I do miss the occasional day where I'm too late to do them but I get as many done as I can! Glad you are enjoying them

Just want to say a huge thanks to those who have provided the filters/tested these strategies. I have tried many different strategies over the past few weeks online but these ones are working really well. Cheers @Martin for keeping the spreadsheets up to date too, really helps when you know its not just a fluke that they make money short term. With Unders/Overs, if you place your bet inplay (usually up to 10 mins) you can often get better odds. Especially on under's as the games are unlikely to be high scoring. Just be careful though, an early goal makes the bet unviable.

@martin Hugely helpful video! Thank you!
I've imported the 'Martins Over 1.5 Goals' filter successfully and its come up with one selection (its a Tuesday, quiet day in Sweden!). I've clicked on the team and now have a screen full of stats. Is there somewhere I could find what these mean and how best to use them?

Tomasz Under 1.5 Goals - Lays
Hi, just a quick question regarding the U1.5 Lay, is there an extra filter I am missing as when I run the filter I an getting 3 qualifiers for 06/08.
Guarani Gremio
Envigado U. Magdalena
Botafogo RJ Ceara
but on the spreadsheet there is only the one which is
Guarani GremioStill trying to get to grips with all of this and not placing any bets but want to make sure I am doing things correctly
Many Thanks,
Al
Good morning Alan, welcome to BTC.
I run that filter too, I think you have a difference because the Guarani game was overnight (now finished, a winner).
The other games are played this evening so I expect Martin will add them to the spreadsheet when he does his work this morning. -

@james-rome
Certainly worth thinking about, in fact I have set up a new spreadsheet to track both over and under for the start of the winter leagues.
Only problem I can see is that a lot of the leagues are on or near the 50/50 line so would be tough to go either way. There are some leagues that totally are going to work as under or over respectively, hoping I can narrow those down.
