I love how you write these and how you look at things, you've become really reflective of your trading and the things you spot make me think as well...

In particular for me was I was also subject to some rough runs but good to see the strategy recovers and I was pleasantly surprised when I eventually checked my progress.

That is key for all traders, taking a long term view takes time.

But look at the results of Feb 30pts!

    February Review
Overall I'm really pleased with this past month. I focused on the process rather than the goal and was conscious to be aware of any areas in which I'm slacking.

    Race to £100 Challenge
5/5 from yesterday. There are no trades today so that leaves the bank at £38, so -£2 for the month. I can't really complain considering I've had my worst run and was still able to recover. It would have been a profitable month but I went in on two trades that were too close so not surprised when they went on to win. I'm slowly shaping this into a half decent set and forget strategy.

    My Trading Journey
I'm going away in March so thought this month was a good opportunity to strip everything back to just 1 strategy. I wanted to make sure I was really confident with that before slowly building up my portfolio. By doing the challenge above I was able to amend my trading style to suit my long-term plan (Ryan's Super Trader coming in there!) and not be checking the results every day. I was also subject to some rough runs but good to see the strategy recovers and I was pleasantly surprised when I eventually checked my progress.

    Overall, Feb +30pts.

3/4 so -£8. Ironically, Thanksforthehelp was no help at all!

It did raise some concerns because there were 3 horses that were close together, but I thought it might drift and I'd be OK. Instead, it did the opposite and avoided my bot and went on to win. I was kicking myself for pushing myself back from the goal, however, it has given me an opportunity to review the process and way in which I measure success.

Therefore, as this is as close to set and forget horse trading as I can be right now I know I have to have stricter rules. I was to see a clear difference between the top 2 and everyone else. I'm also avoiding races with 4 horses or fewer.

With that in mind, today's trades
    27/02/2023 14:00 Plumpton Line Of Descent - Win £2
    27/02/2023 15:50 Ayr Big Bresil - Win £1
    27/02/2023 15:50 Ayr Socks Off - Win £0.50

Shocker of a day yesterday 2/4 -£18 bringing the bank back down to £33. Looking back over the software the first few months always seem a bit slow so as long as we can finish strong I'd be happy. Something I've been focusing on is enjoying the process over the goals, which considering yesterday was a stinker was quite handy!

Nothing today but there looks like a few tomorrow.

4/4 so finally hit £50. We're halfway there! I thought this is taking longer than when I tried it before, but I kept compounding so I would do 1/3 instead of 1/5.

    Today's trade

A good day yesterday 6/6 +£5 brings the bank up to £37. Despite a rough start, we're almost back to breaking even and still only halfway through the month. I'm noticing this strategy can change very quickly depending on trends

Today's trades - I'll do the odds later
    13/02/2023 14:00 Plumpton Dom Of Mary - Win £2
    13/02/2023 15:00 Plumpton Sheldon - Win £1.50
13/02/2023 15:30 Plumpton Le Patron - 2nd favourite so will be avoiding
