Over / Under 2.5 Goals
-
Okay, now I am looking for a bit of advice to confirm my own thinking here.
I have decided that, after much reading and watching of videos, that the strategy I am going to be most comfortable with, is going to the the above market. This is because when I started using BF for laying the weaker team to not win, back in October during the Euros, I had some good results, because I wanted to be as unrestrictive as possible with my choices, but also to make as much profit as possible with the stake I chose.
So given that I am now choosing the above market and so that I don't jump in willy nilly, before careful selection has been applied, I want to ask this question, which might be silly to more experienced traders, but I need it confirmed anyway
Soooo. I choose Match Xb between teams A & B, for a stake of £5, because their is a good chance that the match will produce the XGs over all
Team A are shown as having a high probability of scoring first and in the first half
Sooo, Would I back them at £5 and we assume the odds are as per the video instructions we have in the strategies section. Then when they score first, we then decided whether or not to take the C/O option, as long as its within the % of profit we would be looking for.
TIA, for your advice which will be very welcome

@Ryan Yes the answer was perfect thank you
-
@dave-hayes nice thank you, what about the answer was useful to you?
-
@Ryan. thanks for the reply and yes LTD is the strategy I will be following. As Covid19 hit the fixtures I used yesterday to try an learn a bit more about other markets. I have no intention of jumping about as I said, just trying to educate myself ahead of re trading and your answer has done that perfectly.

It doesn’t matter which market you trade buddy, there isn’t any market better than the others because each one and each way of trading is about making it work for you. So it could be better for you, it might not be.
That starts with you, you picking a sport and market you feel confident in, then building a strategy around that. Getting the right entry point etc…. Following the steps to build a strategy.
You can trade any market and make a profit using nearly any market if it’s the right one for you.
I thought you’d decided on the Lay the draw?

I have a question regarding the Over / Uner 2.5 Goals market, which is to clarify my understanding of it.I didn't trade yesterday and might trade today on the Spurs Palace game
But yesterday I monitored a Turkish Super Lig game, or more specifically the Draw Graph and The Under 2.5 and Over 2.5 Goals graph as well.
The draw graph did as I though it would as was on the up I can't remember the scoreline.
The Under 2.5 Goals market graph was on a downward spiral
The over 2.5 Goals graph was similar to the Draw graph.
So my question is this
If i wanted to trade the goals market, is it better to trade in the OV 2.5 Goals market?
I'm not jumping about all over the shop, just clarifying a couple of points, to help my understanding.
Cheers

@dave-hayes Want to expand on that a little more, do you understand the set up of the one goal profit?
My split stake will be a great place for you to start and work with. It doesn't have games everyday but the selections are tested and its profitable longer term, it does require some patience though.

@ryan said in Over / Under 2.5 Goals:
Where as in the trade example if 1 goes in you will have profit and can move on.
How come you picked those games?@Ryan To clarify this bit as well
Where as in the trade example if 1 goes in you will have profit and can move on.Its the cashout bit I'm obviously interested in, so either way if 1 goal goes in I will be getting profit
I did check your 1.5 Split Stake Filter, but it only shows one game in there for today
-
@Ryan Thanks for clarifification. As for why I picked those games I got them from FootyStats, which I have used for about a year and so far it seems to be doing okay in terms of choices I make.its what I used for laying the loser as I call it in football, when I lay the team least likely to win in a game where there is a clear difference in quality, so the favourite is likely to win
So from FootyStats, Those two teams, who kick off at 11.00 and then 13.00 are shown to have a greater chance, over 80%, of scoring over 2.5 Goals but also 1.5 Goals as well
Hence my choices

@dave-hayes because when you split the money you guarantee a profit on the trade.
If not then you have a risk free bet so you need 3 goals to be scored to win.
Where as in the trade example if 1 goes in you will have profit and can move on.
How come you picked those games?
-
@Ryan Okay I watched the Video and now I see why, if not properly understanding why ; )
The aim is to trade on a couple of matches today. I'll have a look at your filter first.I've also identified a couple of games as well
Minks U19 V Hadjuk Split
Inter Milan u19 v FC Shaktar

@Ryan Okay, so not on one outcome, so why hedge
-
@dave-hayes gotcha,
So yes you will be laying it, not with the stake of £5 though - if you do that it will just put the profit on one outcome where you want it hedging, the cash out will hedge it for you.
We always get out instead of letting it run
-
@Ryan Thanks for replying. In the Goals Market, I get that the Over/ Under Goals blue and pink boxes mean the same as in the teams section EG Blue because you think there is a good possability of over 1.5 Goals Happening
So If I think that will happen, Then do I back it in the Blue Box for my stake of £5
If I don't think it will happen, then I lay it with my stake of £5
When the first goal goes in, do I then cash out, if the profit is around 10/20% of my stake or let it run and see what happens
