I’ve updated the first post import guide to make it really simple. Hope it helps
-
@nick-allan yes it does. The tips thing sorts all of that
-
@nick-allan no it works fine for me. Delete the SelectionID and Revision columns. Delete the ones you have on Bfbot and try again. That should sort it
-
Incidentally John if import tips will it allow you to run two strategies on one race? for example can you run your short odds strategy alongside say Martin short odds strategy if you selected both? I know that this has been a limitation with BFBM in the past for example I can't run an over 2.5 and under 2.5 goals strategy at the same time whereas I could have with BetAngel Guardian. But by importing the tipsters that allow you to run two strategies simultaneously or are both strategies gonna fire for the same runner? Hope that makes sense

@john-folan So did what you said but sorry john got the same issue?
Is there something I need to set up in BFBOT manager first?Nick
-
@nick-allan Change horse_name to SelectionName. Lose the selection_id column and that should sort your problem. Bfbot gets a bit confused. I’m going to update my instructions in the next couple of days.

Hi John, I bought the software yesterday and I've got a couple of questions I use BFBOT manager and I've been reading how you Imports tips from file as per the steps you show above. The CSV download from the horse racing software isn't exactly the same as the one you've got in the example above?
So I take it I change strategy_name to Provider? but I've not got a runner_name on my CSV file to change to SelectionID - is that the market_id? Or the selection_id? I can change horse_name to SelectionName that’s fine. So I went ahead and try to change the values to what I though they should be and I'm getting a completely different screen on the BFBM - so I don't really know where I'm going wrong?
Is there anything you can help me with? have I perhaps up the software wrong?
any help would be very greatly appreciatedNick

This post is deleted!

@john-folan that's strange. It says this.
So you load it and check the 'my selections' box in order for the bot to process it?

Hi @John-Folan. Am I right in thinking that I need to add a 'Fav', column to bfbot in order to get your trob bot to work? If so, how do I add this column please?
Not really. I just add the selections for it on the markets page?

Sorry if this is the wrong thread but looking for a Tennis Back the Server strategy but I’m struggling on the exit point and having the bot continuously placing the trade throughout the match.
Has there been a strategy already created? -
yeah, which means that the strategy I have been messing with which looks great in the software is probably not actually possible to replicate in reality!
-
@mrs-h-m-price been messing around quite a lot today. You are spot on about really high odds struggling to get decent amounts matched. Especially inrunning. Been running down the amount trading on each selection and you can probably get away with upto 30.00. Safer to stick to sub 20.00. All the money is in the top few horses. Unless it’s a really big meet.

Having looked at this some more, I am now trading out as soon as the race goes in play. After playing around with it manually I realised that if I left it a while, I was having a lot of difficulty in trading out; some of the bigger prices simply couldn't get matched. That is something that I don't think the BTC software can account for. It can show you what the price was at any given time but it can't tell you whether or not you'll be able to get your stake matched in play (or pre race for that matter really)
I think you might be right there. Probably ok up to about 20? Especially pre race. Inrunning is utter carnage sometimes
