@mrs-h-m-price actually if you could post screens of your trade out and stop loss settings that would give me something to work with . Microsoft Snipping Tool is a wonderful thing!

@John-Folan Hi John, could I ask a question about BFBotManager if you have the time? I've got a trading strategy in BTC which is backing selected horses before the off, and then attempting to trade out for a percentage based profit.
However, what I'd also like to do, is simply cash out completely after say 30 seconds of in-play time if my first lay bet was not matched but I don't seem to be able to do this.
So currently in "After Bet Rules" I have a Trade out rule with a bet persistence of keep, so that keeps that bet in play.
I then tried to also add a hedge rule, to just minimise losses, but when I tried clicking "Hedge X seconds after the start time", this appears to be the official start time rather than the actual start time! I then clicked "Only activate during in play", but it then fires as soon as the race goes in play, when what I actually want is to be able to wait X number of seconds of in-play time.
Do you know if that is possible?
Thanks!
CarolineHi, in a simple answer yes. I haven’t done that in a while though. I’m not around tomorrow but I will try and look Sunday for you. I think it’s pretty straight forward if I remember rightly

@john-folan With your My Flat Pace Backs bot should you add a Market condition filter to disallow the track conditions in your filter in case the condition changes from the time you import your tips and the bet being placed?
Also number of runners in case of late non runners before bet being placed?Good point. Doing it now

@dr-steve-buckwell Please take into account that I have had a BF Bot for less than a week. I am using the BF Bot to "Back the Fav" on horseracing. Getting the selections from the BTC Horse Racing Software. I had no ability or advantage with backing horses, so I stayed with football bets. However the Bot and the racing software together are awesome.

@gerald-pearce Hi Gerald. Ive been toying with the idea myself. What sprt or stratgies are you going for?

@john-folan I have only had the BF Bot for a few days and can see that there is much to learn and understand. Today the Bot is on, locked and loaded, have seen enough to take out a subscription.
Good another convert. Never be afraid to ask them for extra filters as well. If they think it’s a good idea they add them.

good work, think I should have a chat with them see if they would do a deal for btc members
They could probably sort it so you could import tips from the BTC Software. They have done it for a few other services

@razvan-alexandru if you’re copying and pasting paste as text not html I occasionally get the same problem I delete all unnecessary columns as well

@john-folan Hi can anybody help me? I am downloading strategies with the horse racing software. However I am unable to get BF Bot to import selections to back Favs on the races selected in different import files.
BF Bot support has been helpful and said my strategies are not set to bet on imported tips, they are set to bet on loaded markets at main Markets grid view. I am hoping to get sorted before my trial run ends in a couple of days. They are right. That strategy is set with the filters applied by bf bot. You do not need to import the qualifiers as the qualifiers are every single horse in every qualifying race subject to the odds filters and favourite position. What you need to do is load all the days races win markets for UK and Ireland on the markets screen and then just make sure the bot is on. It will do the rest.
-
@keith Thanks Keith, I can send ONE list of selected races to BF Bot as I'd like to follow your strategy. However a different list of selected races will all merge with the first list and give double bets even if the selection was only on one list. So for the moment. There can only be one. I will keep reading the BF Bot manual but have not found the answer yet. Again thank you for the quick reply.
-
@gerald-pearce I think you might be getting confused between strategies mate. The backing favs strategy (my one at least) selects the fav just before the off so it's not betting on tips you just need the markets loaded in automatically.
Johns don/trob ones do use imported tips and these need to be done manually when he posts them. -

@john-folan Sorry mate I may be stupid and annoying but help me out pls.
I followed the instructions you gave us but I can't import the tips. In what format should I save the tips? I modified the column as you said and tried different formats from CSV (MS-DOS), CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited), and CSV (Comma delimited) and none of them worked...Not really sure what you are doing wrong. It works perfectly every time I do it the way I’ve explained. Make sure you change the Horse Name column to SelectionName and make sure you have that days races loaded. Try not bothering with SelectionId as in delete that whole column. It will pick them up from the name alone.

@keith I did it now!
But what do you mean each day? even if they should reload every 6 hours I still need to autoload?
Until now I was loading manually by tapping on win.You need to add all the dob selections. It doesn’t pick them up automatically. You can download them from the btc software and then add them as per the first post on this thread. That’s for dobs.
