BFbotmanager Automation Discussion

@Joe-Beeston you would need to create it in BFBM they have some tutorial videos here:

Hi all,
I have a couple of strats that I would like to forward test in BFBM, how do we go about creating a .gz file?
Is it a case of doing this from scratch inside BFBM or is there another route from Horse Racing Stats or the json file?
-
hi guys im still learning the bfbm ways and using a couple of horse bots and it seems too be working ok! Except my irish dobs one hasnt fired at all yet so hopefully i get time too monitior that today, i havent attempted any football bots yet but was wondering does anyone have one for the footie lay away 1.0. where you can just load games in morning and let it manage them during the day placing them before each kick off etc? i was going too use it and learn from the basic conditions etc to create ones going forward if anyone has.
thanks -
@Adam wow that would be amazing having a one stop shop for bet placement within BTC, very exciting stuff. My last question - will you be able back test inplay strategies E.g LTD at half time or backing a late goal?
I know there will loads of data points to look at for these but I am just curious if it's a possibility at some point in the future. Keep up the good work!
-
@Alex-Rule I just couldn't give a reliable estimate mate so I think it's better not to just pluck a date out of the air, apologies!
To give some context, BF want us to add bet placement functionality to the software to get access to the vast amount of historical data that we need. That's added a whole new dimension that I wasn't expecting and is what I'm working on right now.
It will be good ultimately as you'll be able to place bets within the software if you want to, like I say it's just a whole other set of features that we didn't expect to need at this stage

@Martin Yes i did it. my strategies are working perfect. only with the btc strategies i have problem. i think the wrong is at unique link. I believe cant take the upcoming qualifiers.
I will install again the bfbt manager to anaother pc and i ll download only the btc bots to see if the problem still. -
Thanks @alexander-hughes & @Martin
I got there in the end.Now I have a football strategy that on paper looks OK, I want to make some variations of it and run them simultaneously to see if I can tweak it into greatness. So I thought automation would help.
But, in this international dry spot, I thought I'd play with some horses
If anyone else ever ends up here:
make sure under staking you have the bet on tipster added as a rule and give it a name (same as the strategy works) then go through to the market(s) you want and add them to the markets list and go and choose your selections. Tick the race and the horses in that race you want to work with and click the send My S. To tipster button. It'll prompt you for a name which needs to match the tipster rule under staking. -

Good evening,
Im new at BTC.
I have read and watched all the videos how to upload run the bots and strategies but i cant make it work.id did it manual and trhrough url and have all time this messageAt autoload i put everything but still nothing.
But at BFBT is look like that one strategy work.
How is that possible? I connect the url and the systems
I have 95 more strategies at bfbt and they work ok.
Any opinion why is happened this? Thanks for your time
-
@Joseph-Henderson I use £1 assume that's the min but may be wrong
-
Anyone know what the min stake is when testing a strategy live? Can you go as low as £0.10 for example.
-
@mick-mcmahon have you watched this?

Hi! I'm probably being dense and jumped over something basic with eagerness, but...
I've decided to have a dabble BF Bot Manager. So this morning, grabbed the daily horse racing email, made a Pace Lays strategy. Found the correct markets and added them to my markets view. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to apply that strategy to the horse/race selection?

@Nick-Mulvey Nick that's great, thanks for letting me know.
Is there anything that you wish someone had told you before you started with automation? How long have you need using it and what are the biggest pros and cons for you?
Cheers,
Alex
