BFbotmanager Automation Discussion

@john-folan love it!!

The autoload from a url works a treat. Open BFBM and it automatically imports the trades to the tip manager AND opens the relevant market. The only thing I have to do is turn the relevant strategy on.
-
Its working for me after I added the external link name. (Sorry @Adam lol). Absolute blinder this.
-
@daniel-sawkins I just did it manually again today as I hadn't heard whether the URL was populating with the picks or not. Hopefully will become clear in the next few days
-
@david-milligan Hi David, has the auto loading been working okay for you? Cheers.

Not sure what this is telling me, but I have just set up 4 bots on BFBM, I replicated them on the Betdaq version exactly. Been running them with small stakes (£2) since the 1st Feb.
These are the results from Betfair:
And these are the results from Betdaq:
Just thought it was interesting..
Wow what a difference

I think you answered your own question

@greg-mitchell That makes zero sense

Yes, really nice work @Adam

The BFBM update is awesome! Thanks Adam!

Also, during the course of investigating yesterday's DB issues, we found some more query optimisations that will make any of your strategies that use the history rules much faster (i.e. "in x% of y runs"). So any such strategies should be much quicker to run now.
This will also mean the Daily Qualifiers will run much quicker in the background, so they'll be refreshed faster.
These are back-end only changes, so don't be concerned if you don't see them in the changelog in the software yet. You don't need to refresh to get them.

Apparently the URLs are now being populated but we've stripping the "1." from the start of the Market ID, which will stop it working in BFBM.
We've just updated this so after the next run of the qualifiers, they should be populated properly
(Thanks Daniel Mills!)
-
Thanks @david-milligan , that's great info.
I see the URLs haven't populated for anyone yet, I am checking it out now and will let you all know when they've successfully started populating

I think an additional step is going to be needed to continuously update tips into BFBM with new qualifiers:
Manage Tips --> Tips auto loading
I have set it up as below to check the URL every hour for updated tips. Hopefully this will work and keep the picks coming in as the models spit them out!
-
Here's how to use the qualifiers URL (aka BFBM integration). This is very beta so please let me know how well it works!
-
Enter an external ID for your strategy in the place shown below. For BFBM, this is the "Provider" name. You can click to edit it:
-
Wait. This is because the daily qualifiers need to run in the background and pick up your qualifiers for all your active strategies that have an external ID
-
Click this shiny new button on the Daily Qualifiers page:
-
Visit your super-duper personal qualifiers URL to see if there are any goodies in there:
-
If everything looks good, slam the URL into the "import bets from URL" box in BFBM
From that point onwards, it's really up to BFBM. If there's some way of using test mode in BFBM to make sure this is working properly, I'd recommend using it. If not, try setting up a dummy strategy in BFBM that's never actually going to bet, so you can test that everything's working OK.
Basically what will happen our side is that we'll keep the URL up to date with the latest qualifiers. So horses will be added and removed from it during the course of the day. This SHOULD mean that bets are added and removed to the corresponding strategies (Providers) in BFBM.
