Hi @John-Folan. Am I right in thinking that I need to add a 'Fav', column to bfbot in order to get your trob bot to work? If so, how do I add this column please?
Not really. I just add the selections for it on the markets page?

Sorry if this is the wrong thread but looking for a Tennis Back the Server strategy but I’m struggling on the exit point and having the bot continuously placing the trade throughout the match.
Has there been a strategy already created? -
yeah, which means that the strategy I have been messing with which looks great in the software is probably not actually possible to replicate in reality!
-
@mrs-h-m-price been messing around quite a lot today. You are spot on about really high odds struggling to get decent amounts matched. Especially inrunning. Been running down the amount trading on each selection and you can probably get away with upto 30.00. Safer to stick to sub 20.00. All the money is in the top few horses. Unless it’s a really big meet.

Having looked at this some more, I am now trading out as soon as the race goes in play. After playing around with it manually I realised that if I left it a while, I was having a lot of difficulty in trading out; some of the bigger prices simply couldn't get matched. That is something that I don't think the BTC software can account for. It can show you what the price was at any given time but it can't tell you whether or not you'll be able to get your stake matched in play (or pre race for that matter really)
I think you might be right there. Probably ok up to about 20? Especially pre race. Inrunning is utter carnage sometimes

@mrs-h-m-price actually if you could post screens of your trade out and stop loss settings that would give me something to work with . Microsoft Snipping Tool is a wonderful thing!

@John-Folan Hi John, could I ask a question about BFBotManager if you have the time? I've got a trading strategy in BTC which is backing selected horses before the off, and then attempting to trade out for a percentage based profit.
However, what I'd also like to do, is simply cash out completely after say 30 seconds of in-play time if my first lay bet was not matched but I don't seem to be able to do this.
So currently in "After Bet Rules" I have a Trade out rule with a bet persistence of keep, so that keeps that bet in play.
I then tried to also add a hedge rule, to just minimise losses, but when I tried clicking "Hedge X seconds after the start time", this appears to be the official start time rather than the actual start time! I then clicked "Only activate during in play", but it then fires as soon as the race goes in play, when what I actually want is to be able to wait X number of seconds of in-play time.
Do you know if that is possible?
Thanks!
CarolineHi, in a simple answer yes. I haven’t done that in a while though. I’m not around tomorrow but I will try and look Sunday for you. I think it’s pretty straight forward if I remember rightly

@john-folan With your My Flat Pace Backs bot should you add a Market condition filter to disallow the track conditions in your filter in case the condition changes from the time you import your tips and the bet being placed?
Also number of runners in case of late non runners before bet being placed?Good point. Doing it now

@dr-steve-buckwell Please take into account that I have had a BF Bot for less than a week. I am using the BF Bot to "Back the Fav" on horseracing. Getting the selections from the BTC Horse Racing Software. I had no ability or advantage with backing horses, so I stayed with football bets. However the Bot and the racing software together are awesome.

@gerald-pearce Hi Gerald. Ive been toying with the idea myself. What sprt or stratgies are you going for?

@gerald-pearce said in BFbotmanager Automation Discussion:
@john-folan I have only had the BF Bot for a few days and can see that there is much to learn and understand. Today the Bot is on, locked and loaded, have seen enough to take out a subscription.
Good another convert. Never be afraid to ask them for extra filters as well. If they think it’s a good idea they add them.

good work, think I should have a chat with them see if they would do a deal for btc members
They could probably sort it so you could import tips from the BTC Software. They have done it for a few other services
