@Phillip-Chapman Don't do that strategy at the moment.
-
@alexander-hughes Thanks, I will try 4 mins. What have you got it set to ?
-
@Phillip-Chapman After bet rules - 3rd condition down (right side) - hedge after x seconds.

Ryans Split Stake O1.5
I am running the split stake strat on BFBM but noticed today after a goal went in after 30mins that the bot placed the hedge quite quickly which resulted in a small loss rather than waiting for the market to settle before placing.
Has there been an update to the BFBM strategy that I have missed? or does anyone know how to delay the hedge.
Thanks

@Paul-Keighley Export BTC to excel. Export markets from BFBM.
Merge them. Edit before/after merge. Upload as tips.
If it's a regular thing then put the 2 exports in new folders and use power query for the merge. Then you can refresh once the folders have been updated with the latest exports.
to use latest file from a folder. merge (joins) in power query. -
Hi guys.
Just seeing if anyone has the latest fool proof method of importing selections from the BTC football software as tips. I'm betting Inplay on the over 2.5 goals market so thats the only market loaded in bfbm currently.I used to have a template that I could copy certain fields from the btc software exports, with a couple of field headers changed, similar to how someone has described below somewhere in this thread, but it doesn't seem to work correctly anymore nor does the method described in this thread. thanks

@Alex-Rule
Hey I'm a bit bored so quickly did a strat using ur rules.
I added a no red card rule and a safety rule that pauses if strat has lost $20 you can change that always good to run a safety loss in case something goes wrong.
A few of my inplay trades I use the Bet if specific market selection is within a set price range so rule inside the selection conditions to check odds of a favorite before inplay. ie fav odds before inplay 1.01 to 2.05 as I find strong teams vs weak normally have more goals but depends on your strategy just giving you an example on some extra filtering. I would also look at minimum market volume to exclude low liability games as odd will be more accurate then. Also adjust your stake to what you want I normally test with 0.10.Hope that all made sense have had a few beers cheers

@Daniel-Mills thanks for the response. Sounds like it's all doable then. Just need to invest some time into understanding how it all works.
Thanks for the pointers gents - much appreciated.

Understood - how do you find just leaving the bot to do all the heavy lifting? Is the bot trading more games than you physically could as a human? Do you do all/some of trading with BOT and some manually still?
Cheers,
AlexHaven't traded any of my football strategies manually now since before Christmas, so i'd say it's faring pretty well! It's not that I couldn't trade these games (although better not having to get up in the night for Brazilian and MLS games), it just means during the weekend I don't need to think about it or try and set up flashscore notifications. It's completely taken the mental side of it out for me too. I check in to my virtual machine once or twice a day to see how it's doing and that's about it.
Not averse to the odd opportunity if i'm watching something, but I try to keep it reasonably moderate.
i was downloading my filters and manually formatting the spreadsheet on google sheets before sending to BFBM the night before. Only takes about 10-15 minutes, but have since had some help from ChatGPT writing timed scripts that do the formatting for me and making it run a bit closer to the way the horse software does.@David-Polkey If either of you or Alex are trying to set up the bot i'm happy to share some pointers in here for yourselves or anyone else that's trying to nail it. I don't trade SHG when either side has more than 2 goals which makes things a little easier - I have to load every unders market (05.,1.5 etc) with my filter name as a provider on my strat. It was a bit long to set up but now it's done it's solid.
-
@Andrew-Gray let me know how it goes!
-
@Martin Apologies I didn't specify did I?!!
I meant the Ryans split stakes O1.5 one.
Ah yea I see you have more forward testing in that spreadsheet you linked. Many thanks!
Gives me more confidence that it's still valid.Trying to get it set up in BFBM, think I've sorted it now. Cheers again
-
@Andrew-Gray which one bud?
I don't recommend strategies as such so I can't answer regarding that side of it, I like people to make their own minds up on strategies they follow.
I do have some more recent results but with these I was only tracking strike rate so stopped to wait for backtesting results (was taking me hours to do manually each week!)
-
@John-Folan Is anyone still using this strat? Is it still recommended?
I noticed there are no results tracking on it in spreadsheets I can find since November 2020. Presuming it's still kicking it as it's been mentioned in the first post on this thread. Just checking
(Same question for the Garys 2nd half goals one as well?) -
@Daniel-Mills Some nice easy strategies. Definitely easy to set up the bots, just need to have the filters from here making it all easy to add. I've done a few and it's just a case of a few minutes adding the football match selections into the software
-
@Daniel-Mills
Hi Daniel - I've tried to set one up to lay the next unders market, but just cant get it to work at all. Given you have succeeded I will try again. Thanks for the inspiration !!

@Greg-Mitchell Glad to hear it's simple to set up. I'm keen to give it a go and see what I can create - its the way forward I think for sure.
Can you import rules from other software (ones that give you selections)?

Is anyone on here using BF Botmanager for football inplay trading? Cheers, Alex
Hi Alex, I have a few:
- One lays the draw at half time based on scoreline.
- One backs a goal by laying the next unders market at half time
- another based off the same strategy but looks for odds higher than 1.8 after 65 mins (so arguably, these two SHG strats act as a combined split stake)
first one is still in the testing phase (strategy, not the bot - bot works fine)
the other two are profitable and were profitable before I set up the automation, so no concerns there.I don't use inplay stats like SOT, just looking for times, scores and price. All other filters are done in the BTC football software.

@Alex-Rule Yep it was simple to set up, once you start thinking like a bot… No particular reason other than I had a strategy purge to concentrate on more consistent/profitable ones. No I hadn’t tested manually before. I was only using small stakes.
