@John-Folan Interesting John
Is that only for in play markets I assume?
Or do they use the betfair Near and Far BSP predictions so you can use it pre-race as well?
I’ll have a nose. I would say not.

I love BFbm support.
I wanted to know if I could trade on the BSP favourite and not the current favourite and they told me how.
Under the edit box(where you set the strategy name, you can use the tick box there to judge the favourite by starting price and not the current price. Outstanding.

@Alex-Rule If you need any help with BFBM just post on their forum or use their support links. They are really quick at responding.

@Greg-Mitchell Got ya. Yes I don't think I need it do anything too crazy. Just place a trade at X-mins and that's about it really. I think in Jan my job will be quieter and I jump in and have a go and start getting familiar.
Thanks for the advice

@Alex-Rule I have tried most of the available software and find BFBM suits my needs best and is also easiest to use. Can be a little tricky understanding the logic of some of the more complex rules, but just takes a bit of work.
It does track results with a Strike Rate and P & L and you can export selections. However I tend to export all my bets from BFBM to Excel on a daily basis and analyse them there, just my personal preference.
-
@Greg-Mitchell Thanks for that - sounds like that's just what I am after.
I'm testing a SHG strat at 60 mins with 0 goals, 1 goals and 2 goals.
All of the games that are selected will be same selections based on prematch stats so the only difference within them will be which goal of the match the SHG we will be targeting.
How have you found BFBM? I was planning on waiting for the football update so I could import selections directly. But I have a FHG and a SHG strat that I'm testing that look really promising - and I wonder am I just making excuses not to get stuck in?
Is the formatting and rules setting easy for a simpleton like me?
And can BFBM track results like strike rate, ROI and number give you a breakdown of selections to export if you wanted?
Cheers,
Alex -
@Alex-Rule Yes you can.
In the Markets rules you can set a rule to allow betting on the next over/under market.
I'm not sure if you need all the O/U markets loaded, but I do have them loaded up to O/U5.5
I've attached my bot, which is for backing a SHG, might not be exactly what you are after, but you should get the jist of it.

Hi Guys,
Quick one for the football traders if I may.
Can you build rules within your bot to only place a trade based on the current number of goals that have occurred? E.g place a bet on the over 0.5 goals market if it's 0-0 or 1.5 market if it's 1-0 ect?
Would you do this within 1 bot and cover all the score lines or build separate ones to account for each?
Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Alex

@alexander-hughes Thank-you

@Mark-Girling
I loaded those in to BM.
Then i selected all CS in BM for both game and exported to tips file.
I then rearranged in descending order and it shows the selectionId is identical for both matches,
What it doesn't show is which score is which SelectionId. However to find them out all you have to do is repeat the process but export 1 scoreline at a time and you'll have the answer(s).

Hi i'm using BFBM
What selection ID do i need for Correct Score when importing my strategies please

@Joseph-Henderson tough to put a number on it depends what stakes you use but ballpark £10k-50k
-
@Martin That’s interesting. Do you have any suggestions on min liquidity for the over 2.5 goals market? Want to try and add a rule to avoid what happened last night where a trade that should have won in fact made a loss due to odds movement!
-
@Joseph-Henderson yes not only that they tend to stick at bad odds for a while so it becomes risky not to exit
-
I have a strategy that hedges 90 seconds after a goal, but found yesterday that the odds on a particular game hadn’t really moved in enough before it hedged. I’m wondering if it was due to liquidity. Do markets with less liquidity move slower after a goal?
-
@Mark-Girling on the opening post there’s “Gary’s SHG” bot.
I used that as a template and built around it. The only downside is you have to select all the CS options which can be a bit time consuming. I’m sure there’s a more efficient way
-
Hi,
has anyone got a SHG set and forget Bot please,
I've got my own strategy but can.t get it to fire up on BFBM so just need a firing one so i can edit,
thanks in advance

Weird. Well I’ve imported manually and had a storming day so all good here. I’ll check it tomorrow
