BFbotmanager Automation Discussion

Hi @John-Folan, firstly huge thank you for this thread, automation using BFBM has been an absolute revelation and your guides have been invaluable!
Quick question regarding strategies requiring a back bet to be placed on the Fav close to the off - currently I often have situations where the fav may change (especially when a delay to the start time) and the bot will place a new bet on the new fav. I have been rummaging through BFBM rules to try to find a solution, but haven't yet managed to find one - is there any way of limiting the bot to just firing on the first selection at the defined time and then ignoring any further changes before the off?

@steven-white @John-Folan @Paul-Foster All, I thought I would drop a quick message to say thank you all for your help and advice, both football and horses now being successfully executed by my bots. Cheers guys.

Hey guys, I've been using this method of uploading the selections from the "upcoming qualifiers" list of the BTC software to the tips in BFBotManager and it's been working quite nicely but it seems to be using the older Betfair API which is quite slow so I often find that the prices matched are off by quite a bit.
I saw in the other horse racing thread that people have been using BetAngel instead. I have a licence to both but I am confused as to how this can be achieved in BetAngel as Guardian seems to only allow up to 5 selections to be used in Automation and they have to be manually selected as the nominated selections.
Does BA have a similar facility to allow you to just upload a whole bunch of selections at once using a spreadsheet? My BTC strategies tend to create a lot of potential qualifiers but only a handful of them are actually bet on as they need to fall into the required price range which the bot takes care of.

Also make sure you have the right markets loaded BEFORE you import tips.

@john-folan That is bloody amazing will done John. I'm sober and didn't see that and I read through the bf bot manual and had no clue. Well done mate.

This is a list of how to name all the columns. To be honest you only need Provider and either SelectionName or SelectionId.
Also you will need to load the markets into Bfbotmanager. Your provider name will need to be exactly what you specify the tipster to be in your strategy so Ryan’s Tips will need to be spelt exactly like that and not Ryans Tips if that is how it shows in your strategy.

@paul-foster I tried both, without space and with space neither worked
The d in SelectionId needs to be small and not a capital. That should solve your problem. Sorry I’ve been on the Jesus Juice and I had a wine coma or I would have seen this earlier.

@paul-foster Hi Paul, this was the file, thanks. 0_1667756742239_filter_results (3).csv
The Column names should be SelectionID and EventID, not Selection ID and Event ID (no space).
Try changing that any reloading the file.

@paul-foster Hi Paul, this was the file, thanks. 0_1667756742239_filter_results (3).csv
Edit-I think there maybe an error on the doc as column C looks odd, do you see the same when you open it?

@paul-foster Hi Paul, I've tried your method but just says tips imported 0, any suggestions?
If you upload the csv file I can have a look.
-
@nick-terracciano Hi Nick, are you able to actually get the football selections to import though? I've followed the method mentioned in this thread for Football but says tips imported 0.
-
@john-folan Thanks for the reply. I'll be taking another look tonight also, hopefully we can crack it between us.

@john-folan Have no issues with importing the horse racing into BF Bot but am getting wound up with trying to import football data. The only method that imports them has been to use the above method although as yet it hasnt placed any bets. Have quite a few filters that are now ready for testing, could just use my selections but thats time consuming when it doesnt need to be. For some reason cant get access to the bfbot forum which im just about to sort out. Any help appreciated
