    Hi guys,
Just a quick question to see if anyone has any experience with running BetfairBotmanager from a VPS?

BFBM's own page recommends the third level on their partner's site, which has 3 cores, 3GB Memory and 100GB Storage. I assume there is a decent amount of upselling in this recommendation, so I was just wondering if anyone runs BFBM on a VPS themselves and what the minimum criteria you could get away with? I wouldn't want to run anything else on the VPS bar BFBM.

    thanks

I haven't used BFBM so not sure how much grunt it needs per market but if it helps, the spec of my VPS with eukhost is 6 cores and 8GB RAM!

However, my app is nowhere near maxing that out and it tracks about 2500 markets at once on average and does a ton of other stuff as well, like a load of web scraping etc.

I would have thought you'd be OK with the starter package. Can you run it in training mode for a bit and keep an eye on the resource usage on the server?

@adam thanks Adam. I'd basically just use it for a few overs startegies so usually just have the match odds and all the overs markets loaded for most of the main leagues and nothing else.

Would you say the Starter package with eukhost (2 cores, 2gb ram, 40gb storage would be fine for this?
    thanks

I haven't used BFBM but basically the CPU and RAM requirements will boil down to how many markets you're tracking. I'd question the storage requirements - I doubt it's saving much to disk?

You'll need a Windows VPS which unfortunately tend to cost quite a bit more than a Linux VPS. I use eukhost.com for my Windows VPS and have literally never had an outage or any issues in about 5 years.
