FPL have gone down the draft route. Who wants to give it a go?

@richard-latimer yeah but one of your players selected leaves before transfer window is up youll need to barter with other players to sign theirs, cause almost all the good ones will get snaffled, everyone needs to pick x amount per place, come January most people start to lose interest so could be stuck with starting players, so ill just stick to the original, i think this is a great idea tho, just not got the time

I'm doing a mock draft to see what happens. I've created a watchlist of 40 as this seemed to be the suggestion on another site I just read. You obv get a number of first picks and only the same number of last picks so won't lose all your top targets.

@richard-latimer I THINK, dont quote me, that the system creates a random order of the participants, this then snakes meaning the 2nd round is reverse order to the first and so on.
When it is your turn in a round you get to pick any player that has not be picked by someone else.
Yeah but what order is the 3rd round haha? If it reverses again then the 2nd/3rd will just be reversed to 3rd/2nd haha!

Im not going to be involved as cant make the draft time and seems like a lot of effort needed to build a team throughout, sticking to the original, im up for joining one of its the normal format
If you create a watchlist it will just pick for you apparently.

Can anyone explain how this works? Are we guaranteed a number of first picks hence not so much for need for such a huge watchlist?

So @martin. What's the best way to prepare for this draft having never done one before? Do you literally need to add 24 potential gk, 62 potential defenders, 62 potential midfielders and 36 potential forwards in case everybody on your watchlist just goes?
I can imagine if you don't look into it prior the draft could end up a right scramble!

Ill give it a go, have no idea what im doing in a draft style though
I've only ever done the automatic one where it picks for you so I've no idea either. @Martin?
