@chris-osborne just about to board my flight from Singapore to Melbourne. Will be there for the lead up events. If I hear anything on-site of interest I’ll try and pass it on. Here’s to a prosperous 2022.

@chris-osborne must be an issue as there's nothing today either, wil message @Adam
-
@martin True although its more to do with my trading from start of Wimbledon onwards wasn't good couldn't get anything going.
Up to Wimbledon most weeks we're profitable after that barely break even
-
@chris-osborne not a bad idea given some of the lack of motivation in these year end tourneys
-
@martin nothing showing for me either both tours year end championships going on atp starting today and wta a few days ago so should be stats.
I’m taking a break from tennis until next year so hadn’t noticed

Got a question for the tennis guys, if a player if 1.6 and wins the first set of a 3 set match what would you project their odds to be at the start of the second set?
Same question for odds of 2.6
Thanks
Paul won first set 2.6-1.5 one break

@martin first one around 1.15 and the second 1.4
Halveing then halveing again is an approach I use.
Thanks mate!

@chris-osborne same as me, I have a spreadsheet somewhere I’ll try dig it out.
Might be on an old hard drive in a box somewhere mind

Yeh it’s a good point about the first round after a big tournament so def not going big stakes. Ramos is generally a clay courter but is underestimated on other surfaces and has got some decent results recently if not amazing. Certainly not a given he wins but think this game is more of a coin toss and Struff doesn’t justify 1.62. Will trade at small stakes and at least take out liability at end of first if Ramos wins the first set
-
@chris-osborne should add I’m generally a bit wary on first round matches especially the week after a big tournament and the travel involved from West Coast of USA
-
@andy-donnelly it’s going to be difficult because I’m working. I mainly focus on the WTA
Took a loss yesterday on Kasatkina who was not interested which I don’t understand in a tournament in her home country. Might see what’s going on later
Struff was in good form over the summer not so much lately. Ramos as far as I know is mainly a clay court player unless I have the wrong player.
-
@Chris-Osborne Are you on the tennis today? Looking at the Struff v Ramos game, and to my eye just on short to medium term form I make Ramos big value here.
-
No worries, all good! I’ll have a play with the software and get more experienced with it. Few interesting results yesterday that’s for sure!
