@declan-henderson I used to be, spent 14 years doing it. Happy to help on that sport was my fave sport to trade.
-
I'm new here, so I may be missing somthing but is anyone mainly a tennis traider
-
@Paul-McCay I'll check it out, I have always loved watching tennis. Took a bit of a break from it since the girls and automating my trading would love the get back into watching it.
-
@Paul-McCay Interesting. I might have to have a serious look at Tennis then.
-
@Paul-McCay I think it's going to be a good thing for the sport, a lot more coverage which makes it easier to watch etc... which will hopefully bring more money and more traders to tennis, its a great sport to trade, there's so many opportunities and its on for the whole year!
-
@Paul-McCay yeah they are giving it a big push aren't they!

May have to start looking at the tennis trading now Sky have launched the tennis channel from today.
"Sky Sports has confirmed a new home for tennis in the UK and Ireland, with Sky Sports Tennis set to launch on Sky and NOW from February 11, making tennis content available all day, every day for fans.
Sky Sports will broadcast more live tennis than anywhere else, bringing over 4,000 matches from more than 80 tournaments a year on the ATP and WTA Tours, as well as full coverage of the US Open.
The introduction of the channel comes following the acquisition of the US Open, ATP and WTA Tour rights last year, and will add to the unrivalled line-up of dedicated sports channels offered by Sky, meaning more value for customers."

I'm no expert but this Sabalenka v Gauff semi final has gone to a first set tie-break with both players having won several breaks of serve. Must be a candidate to lay whoever wins this tie-break with a view to green up later in the second set.
-
Ah yea I see if you are trading manually then you would obviously just check the matches and see what player it refers to.
I've managed to automate these selections into BFBM using a bit of Python so I really need to know what player it relates to that's the thing.
So I will await the feature request before going too balls deep into this any further.
Thanks

@Andrew-Gray The "player" level stats are giving you matches where either player in the match fits your specified criteria, since home and away are basically irrelevant in tennis.
Clicking into the match will obviously then show you which player is which.
We do have a feature request already on the roadmap to mark which player the results are for in the filter results / export.
-
Finally gone to have an attempt at a few filters myself and already confused on a really basic thing... Have read the info box and looked around for videos and a few threads on here and cannot find answer so apologies if it's really obvious.
I get that "Overall" means total matches including both players (same as football filter)
But what does "Player" mean? I was expecting to see Player A and Player B or something like that, to correspond with the football sections Home and Away.
For example I want to find a Player who has a high % of winning 1st set then losing the second, but I think the "Player" option just picks the highest % of the two (or is it combined, but then wouldn't that just be the same as Overall?). In any case, there is a %age there but it does not tell me what player it's for so it's a bit useless for finding weak players against strong players like you would with weak teams against strong teams in football filters...?
Or am I just being stupid as usual?

@Adam Would be amazing if you could.
I've only just started with the lay 1st set winner strat but it looks like a money printer at the moment so be very keen to expand to as many matches as possible haha.I'll drop you a PM as might be able to offer help.
Cheers again

@Andrew-Gray Rouen is Challenger I think. We don't currently cover Challenger and ITF but will consider it for future. We didn't used to be able to get point-by-point data for them but it looks like we may be able to now.
-
@Adam Many thanks for checking.
Does sound like an intermittent issue then, I have a script that downloads the filters every 30 minutes and it often does not receive anything for hours at a time. Might be one to stick some tests in for and alert if they go missing?
Also one other question is how much data are we supposed to expect? I notice there are 5 ATP/WTA events on BF but only 3 are covered by you guys.
You mentioned Zhengzhou issue, but what about WTA Rouen which is also not appearing?
Surely if you get stats on ATP/WTA they should all appear as expected, or is your data source not very consistent?
The obvious follow up question is then is there any chance of getting all the ITF/Challenger stuff on there eventually or is that data hard to come by?
Many thanks again for your prompt replies, you are doing a cracking job here
-
@Andrew-Gray The matches are now back in the software except for Zhengzhou, as the tournament was missing and needed adding.
The others were all already there and the matches were shown when I did my morning checks first thing this morning, so I don't know why they disappeared!
I will keep an eye on it.

@Andrew-Gray Checking this out now
