Looks like this could be Murray’s last tournament then.

@collin-tew going down an set and a break is a good low risk entry but you always leave the chance of complete tank, make sure the player has a history of comebacks from that situation and is a very competitive fighter

Hi guys
New to the forum and trading game. Hoping to pick up a few things from you guys.
I apologise if this is a stupid question or the wrong place to ask questions but if you're backing a favourite after an early break or after they have lost the first set.
Is there ever a scenario where you would back the player again if they don't break back and lose the set or if the go down a set and a break? Or should you always close out that original trade and take the loss?
Cheers

Also 1 250 lay in Sydney
Simon
0.75 pt red here. Got the straight lay on too as really fancied Millman! Hope he turns it around.
Millman bottled that! Serving for the match gets broken then losses tie break. On to the next one.

Anyone know a good resource to know whether play has stopped for the day or not? Millman Vs Simon still not started, flash scores says rain delay, but due to start at 10:45. I’ve trawled twitter but no luck.
Just don’t want to be glued to FlashScore all morning -
@simon Same buzzing! Cannot wait to see Katie Boulter running around as well
-
@ryan-carruthers bring it on! Looking forward to the Aus open starting on Monday

Bit of early morning value, PCB Vs Struff, think PCB should be favorite here. Starts in 10 mins.
Out for small red/scratch at 6-6. I sometimes back again in Set 2 if my player loses set 1 for 0.5 pt but although the first set was tight in that it went to a tb, I felt Struff looked fairly comfortable compared to PCB, so I’m not risking anymore on it.

@dave-jessop hey buddy on the lay of the first set winner - I go totally off the stats, I find a player with a high % of losing the 1st game (set 2) after winning the 1st set.
Then from there I monitor what's happening in play as to how long I let the trade run. So, is the player I have the lay on not playing the shots they are good at, are they hitting the lines, are they being dominated on serve etc....
With that strategy it's less about the H2H, rankings etc... and just momentum in the game itself

Seeing some value in Berdych’s price today, I reckon this should be closer to evens. Think there has been an over reaction in the market to RBA beating Djokovic. Main concern is his fitness after coming back from a 6 month lay off, how will the legs be after playing all week? However RBA is coming off a huge win yesterday against Djokovic. I like opposing players when they’ve just caused an upset, as sometimes mentally they are still high from that and not 100% on the task at hand. Will watch the opening exchanges and look to see if Berdych is looking fit and his serve is firing.
Got out of this with a small win. Thought Berdych started well so backed him at 1-1 in Set 1 and redded out for 1 pt loss when he was broken. Backed him again at the start of the 2nd set with 0.5 pt lib and greened when he won the set.

3 TB’s to decide Anderson Vs Karlovic. No surprise there!

@frode-lia yeah absolutely, when I’m quieter at work my trading tends to be better
-
@simon De Minaur looks no good at all. Let that be.
-
@simon Nothing beats actually watching the game. Going pro makes it so much easier to trade.

@frode-lia yeah she’s looking in form! I never trade these cup events, maybe missing a trick. I find it hard to gauge motivation when researching.
