Kasatkina
Ostapenko
SiniakovaWill back these players when first set down. (Rules: Take stop loss if a break down. Take profit when player breaks back. Use BTC calculator for staking.)

Yesterday was a better day on the lays. Round 1 was fairly awful, going to look back at Wimbledon and FO and see if this is a pattern or not. Also, the straight lays have performed terribly as expected which is why I don’t back them at slams. Yesterday I actually backed all the players I was opposing (apart from Murray) in my trades in a trixie with the bookies and made a bit of money. Seems counter intuitive but the data is there to back it up, so might try a lucky 15 with today’s picks. Here’s today’s list:
Kohlschreiber
Fognini
Chung
Pouille -

Much more manageable today:
Fritz
Murray
Shapovalov
ThiemSome great results here! Kept the Murray lay right to the end as I only had a very small stake on!

@rob-lawton yeah when I started these I used to wait for the favourite to go to 1.2 in play and then lay them then. Was a good low risk way of getting to know the markets and get a feel for what works best for you.
-
@simon Thanks for that. Will be interesting to keep a close eye on these to see how they go.
Might even join you with a low-stake lay to see how it goes and find my own rhythm with them. -
@rob-lawton Hi Rob, no worries, I’ve only been trading tennis a few months myself! With these I just get in from the very start of the match. The price can jump around a bit just before the game starts if lesser known players so I try get the best price I can. I then take profit or red out as soon as there is a break whether for or against me. However if it gets to 4-4 and there is no break I’ll get out (usually for a small green). This is just a personal preference of mine as it flattens the variance a bit.
These don’t perform amazingly at the slams, but are in profit. They perform best at the lowest ranked ATP 250 events, so i’m looking forward to the US Open finishing tbh -
@simon (Newbie alert!) Can I ask what are your triggers to lay these? Is it when they’re serving or if they go up in a set?
I’m intrigued to try with tennis but trying to find the right starting point.
Cheers! -

VeselyMunars opponent has changed so scrap that from the list.

@ryan-carruthers yeah just the lays, trading them and straight laying the 250’s. Powerful stuff!
-
@simon YESS!!!!!!! This is excellent!!
So tennis just from these lays?
-
Reached a good milestone yesterday, doubled my starting bank About 2/3 tennis 1/3 football. 3 months to do so, let’s hope I can double again in the next 3! Making progress at this game finally!

Today’s long list of lays. I won’t be straight laying these as they don’t perform well at slams. Have also excluded any favourites priced below 1.3 based on FO and Wimbledon data. I’m out this evening so probably won’t get much of a chance to trade these. A couple sitting at 1.9 at the moment so if price moves in the wrong direction I wouldn’t get involved:
Basilashvili
Jarry
Berrettini
Verdasco
Medvedev
Querry
Pella
Tiafoe
Wawrinka -
@simon thanks Simon. Appreciate it.
