@simon scratch for me. Could & should have taken big profit at Tie break. Still, no loss on my first ever trade.
Thanks. -
@simon ha, could have made a decent profit as went to a tie break. Annoyingly couldn't monitor so got nothing but great shout!
-
@david-friend good luck! I ended up missing it as was at the doctors with my son, bloody ear infection costing me some green
-
@simon good shout on ebden, could have take a decent profit at 1-1, I've removed liability and going to hope for the best!
-
Plenty of value out there today, going to do some digging but an interesting one I see is Ebden Vs Andreev. Ebden is 1.07 to win this. Andreev has only had 1 tour level match in his career and lost it, but Ebden form on indoor hard is horrible! Obviously he is by far the better player here, but I think this is worth a very cheap lay at the price and if Andreev even threatens to brake early on can make some decent profit.
Will add that I’ll watch the opening service games before getting involved.

@simon Yes but as long as you don't go mental with staking its usually OK matey liquidity wise
Wicked, like it a lot Great to keep notes then you have then to hand and noting what you have spotted always helps when in the same situation again etc...
-
I always think there would be a big edge trading challenger or ITF tour matches if you built up the knowledge, but I guess liquidity would be the issue there.
-
@ryan-carruthers yeah I’ve kept notes on the players when I have time, so building up a good database/knowledge base of what to expect from certain players. As most my trading has been on 250 events too, it’s been the lower level guys who I’d never never even heard of a year ago, and I think that’s where the bigger edge is. Having knowledge of the lower ranked players that jo punter won’t have a clue about.
-
@simon Sounds like a good plan, did did you make notes on players?
-
@ryan-carruthers I’m looking forward to the ATP tour getting into swing next week.
I spent all last year learning about the ATP, I didn’t trade much WTA at all, I only really have knowledge of the top players, but have built up a decent knowledge of a lot of the ATP players now. Think I’ll stick to concentrating on the ATP for now, and build up my knowledge of the WTA in due course. -
@simon lovely happy as Larry.
-
@ryan-carruthers there’s the break. Great shout

Kasatkina v Zvonareva 15.30pm
I like this match up, we have the 3rd seed Kasatkina against the WC in Zvonareva, Zvon is the old dog here but her game when she wants is very good, she dominates from the baseline, she is a counter puncher who can move around the court well and has an excellent record in Russia and against the fellow country players, although the worry is she doesn’t have the mental strength to take on the top ten players - losing 6 of 7.
Kasatkina again good form recently and is a top player, she is mentally strong and has excellent court speed, but her stats on winning serve etc… aren’t as strong as her opponents today. Which paired with the pricing gives value for me on Zvon. I will let them both have a serve and if they both hold as I have Zvon as the fav here and her price of 2.12 is huge value.
-
@david-urquhart Always take the green matey then you can move on nicely!

When close though I always think the 3-2 / 2-3 is a real turning point in the set, its where a lot of players loose or gain momentum.
Yeah totally agree, I think it’s when class players put the foot down and decide enough is enough, like Kvitova did here.

Cheers Ryan £50 profit on first trade as a BTC member
I was going to stay in the market till the end but may as well take the green only £7 of a difference. Thanks again
