@chris-osborne Thanks Chris, I was on Flashscore this morning to check H2H. All about watching the match then, right?

@nick-segura said in 2022 Tennis Trading Thread:

Good morning, question about the Tennis strategies. What research do you do pre game? What information are you looking for before prioritising selections from the 3/3-4/4 and lay the 1st winner set filters? And where would you look for it, which site(s). Thanks

Most of the info you need is in the btc stats, if not then Flashscore has useful h2h history

Thanks for your reply @Ryan. So those have been extensively tested and still profitable, that's good to know. I'll have a look at tennis insight to see if i can identify some patterns that could be exploited. Thanks for suggesting taking notes to build player knowledge. Anything else I should know or be aware of? I am only trading with £1 by the way, I am not taking any risks at all.

@nick-segura I'm not looking for anything on these pre match matey, they've been tested extensively and work with pre match stats.

What I do go an do is make notes on the players after the trade and this builds my player knowledge so I know how they play.

I might check tennis insight to get a handle on the type of player they are so I have some idea what to look for but that's not needed mainly.

Did anyone lay Tommy Paul, was 1.03 pre match, now 1.22. Trade of the day for me. Next time I’ll share before the trade, completely forgot.

@martin not sure to be honest I acted on notifications that she’d lost the first set to the likes of Rus and Zanevska.

I’ve not done anything with tennis since usopen not been tracking the filters but I would have been surprised if she didn’t she’d have been no higher than 1.3 on all three games pre match.

Three times Maria Sakkari has lost the 1st set this week to no hopers, three times she wins the match easy lay first set trades

@stuart-wallace agreed I looked at Swiatek for same reason but odds were garbage.

As with your cricket, don’t stay in too long if he breaks and holds first remove the liability and cash out at end of the set. If he loses serve first gets more complicated I’d probably let tiafoe serve once then take the loss if doesn’t break back can always go back in later

I took a loss on Norrie expected more of a fight so not getting involved

    Good luck

Changing it up for the US Open instead of focussing on the WTA which has been a nightmare all year, going to concentrate mainly on the ATP at least until the second week

@christian-taylor draws are Thursday, guess we’ll know for sure then. Depends what you read as to whether he’s playing or not.

Zverev and Opelka have both withdrawn today through injury. There’s also some sort of announcement from Azarenka today, expected to be retirement after her appalling and embarrassing display against Raducanu last week

@chris-osborne That's what I thought but apparently not. The price on Djokovic playing is currently 9.2 still 2.62 to win though

@chris-osborne Thanks! Probably wise to wait till the draw I suppose especially with the Djokovic situation if he doesn't play and settles as a loss

@christian-taylor Yes it would be but for me its a bit early to be looking at the outrights but its your choice, I'll be waiting until the draw is out this time next week
