I'll be watching the ATP Rio today closely I like the look of the price on Dellien he is playing Andreozzi.
Andreozzi form is all over the place he has lot a few on clay recently too and also recently on all surfaces, he leads the H2H but they were years ago...
Let them both have a serve then look to back Dellien if they both hold for me, will be watching this one closely though - I have Dellien priced around 1.94.

@col I agree with what Simon said, looks like you read it well and you put a lot of detail in your post so it means you spotted those things. Next time you will notice the signs on him and other players.
Nick Kyrgios is a real p***k I think lol
-
@simon Cheers buddy was a tough start to the year but now its doing pretty good going forward!
-
@col yeah it can be mega frustrating! What may help in future is to have a planned exit. Before entering the trade, think at what point will I exit (red or green) and stick to that. So if Millman wins set 2 I remove liability for example.
-
@simon Thanks for the reply Simon. That's the advice I needed. I feel like such a n00b for not greening up now. Just the way the scores were and the way he was playing, looked like he was shaping up to give it away in the tiebreaker like he did in the second set. Definitely a learning experience for me.
Definitely has somewhere better to be. If you watch him at the end of the match, I don't think you could ever find a more displeased person after winning a match.

@col Hi Col, sounds like you read the game well and entered some good lays in the market. In this scenario when you expect the Kyrgios tank, I would have removed liability after Millman won S2 and let it run as a free bet. That way you lose nothing if Kyrgios goes on to win the match.
Another thing I do during my trading is remove liability bit by bit during certain points in a match. So if the player I have backed has a break point, or is 0-30 up against the opponents serve, I’ll nibble away some liability. That way if it turns against me I’m less exposed.
Sounds like classic Kyrgios! Obviously has somewhere better to be. -

@ryan-carruthers yeah I like the look of the price on Istoman too came up on my radar. As did the price on Harris Vs King. Both theses players a bit of an unknown quantity to me, but looking at the stats alone, Harris should be a lot shorter.
2 from 2

Some interesting tennis in the Kyrgios/Millman game, anyone having a look?
I will paint the picture for those were sleeping.
Kygrios was ~$1.85 pre-match. From the outset, he looked disinterested, lacked intensity and was bothered by a knee injury.
He got an early break and due to Millman's inabilities, he fell over the line to win the set.
Set 2 was more of the same. Kyrgios with plenty of unforced errors, double faults and dubious shot selections. I thought had to be something fishy. I laid Kyrgios at $1.40, $1.50, $1.60. Oh another thing to note is after he won the first set, he only firmed into $1.40, would've thought he would ordinarily be shorter than that after securing a set? It seemed the exchange sensed something was up too.. his price hovered around $1.40-$1.60 as the second set went on. It eventually got to a tie break where Millman finally accepted some gifts from Kyrgios. Kyrgios calls for the trainer.
Set 3 was more of the same. To me it looked like Kyrgios has just waiting, waiting, to be killed off but nothing happened. Btw, the market had Kyrgios $2.80 after losing the second set and he remained around $2.40-$2.20 throughout the set. I hung on to my lays.. and hung on.. and hung on. It gets to the tiebreaker and... some horrendous Millman unforced errors see Kyrgios fall over the line. Seems Millman didn't want to win either. Unbelievable.
I'm left licking my wounds here. I'm new to the trading game and I know I read the game right. I just didn't know how to handle the situation. In hindsight I should've greened but if anyone watches the replay I'm sure you'll agree it was a great (attempted) tank. I would've loved some advice during the match but understand it is at a horrible time for you guys.
Some stats out of the game:
Service
Kyrgios - Millman
19 Aces 8
11 Double Faults 0
59% 1st Serve Percentage 72%Unbelievable. Anyway, he plays likely Karlovic next so keep an eye out there..

I layed Gorges at pre-match. Riske has a good start this year! Green up my trade.

ATP Delray Beach
19.30 Istomin v Lopez
If you look at the H2H you would be all over Lopez if you took that alone but that was a long time ago now. Looking through the stats they are really poor on Lopez especially his form of late which gives me confidence in this trade as I have Istomin as the value player. Istomin can handle lefties but he can struggle returning serve on a big server which Lopez is so I will be watching out for that, but if he attacks Lopez and is hitting the ball hard and flat like I know he can then this will be a cracking trade.
How will I trade it?
Let them both have a serve, if they both hold their service games then I will back Istomin and aim to trade out if he wins the first set, constantly checking in with the above statements about how they play.
-
@simon Cheers buddy!!
Was a cracker that got cracking odds on him as well and after he broke to go 1-5 it was pretty much nailed on he was going to hold his serve, waited took the profit

@ryan-carruthers looking very easy for Cecchinato. Great call
