@dave-jessop sounds interesting! You been running this for a while? Might set a bot up to do this on small stakes to test it out. Been getting into more automation recently 👍🏼

I've been doing it for a few days - automated with small stake using the odds range from 1.7 to 1.80 (anything higher than the I've use on the lay 1st set winner) but today trying it on the over 1.80s - mixed results so far - probably need to add a stop loss to reduce losses for a one sided match

    Hi @Dave-Jessop

I've been looking into automating some strategies myself however yet to find an app which feeds through first set results to trigger a bet/lay. Have you found an app to do this or are you using price moves to work out who has won the first set?

Hmm the Struff game appears to have gone "in-play" on betfair even though the rain is pouring and no-one is on court.

Two 250’s this week, Munich and Estoril. Nothing in Estoril but 3 in Munich:

    Daniel
    Struff
    Klizan

@dave-jessop Ahh but it takes some of the emotions out of trading doesn't it!! I am all for it, I've tried using AI to copy my trading lol with a quant trader I know - hasn't been that good!

@simon They have differences, high win rate effects when a loss comes because you think wow why did that happen I win a lot etc....

But the lower ones your chimp (you are so right) is thinking woooow are we getting close to the lower strike rate where we lose?! Etc....

Think you are doing the right thing 🙂

@ryan-carruthers yeah I think I’m just letting chimp brain take over to be honest. It wasn’t even an awful week, just over 2 points down, just felt worse than that because of the 8 losses in a row.
I find strategies that require a lower strike rate harder mentally which is strange as I always thought lower s/r strategies would be easier.

@simon bad week I think matey, I've been around the block a bit, variance is part of the game matey. It's annoying as hell! I think it will right itself and variance is another challenge of trading - you've moved forward and have done some amazing things - Variance is the next challenge 😉 One you will smash!

You are doing all the right things, checking the data and going through it comparing what can be taken out etc.... (indoors for example)

@col since June last year. I mean it’s well up over the time and showing just under 4% ROI, and that increased to over 8% if you remove indoor hard courts. Maybe I’m just over reacting to a bad week, next week will be interesting, 2 250’s on so we’ll see how that goes.

3 more today in Budapest for anyone brave enough

    Coric
    Berrettini
    Djere

Another disaster on these yesterday. Just variance or is this strat regressing to the mean? Hard to know, overall results still good.

@col scratched it mate when Cuevas was a break & 3-2 up I was in a position I didn’t feel comfortable with so nothing gained nothing lost. Although he did win! Haha always in hindsight ay

Ryan what is your opinion on the Cuevas game I stayed in the trade after the 1st set I don’t usually do that but Cilic of late has never made me feel like he’s going to win the match he looks like a broken man on court lately but he’s playing a lot better today I don’t know if Cuevas maybe feeling a little tired

What did you end up doing here @Adam-szeluk? It was a tight one!

Busy today, 5 lays in Budapest:

    Krajinovic
    Berrettini
    Coric
    Cilic
    Basilashvili

Well that was brutal! 4 losses and one small loss at 4-4. However need to look at the bigger picture. I always say with this strat, less than 50% strike rate needed to be profitable, and this week we have 5 losses, 3 wins and 1 small loss at 4-4 and we’re still in profit for the week (although not by much).
