I've backed popyrin
-
@frode-lia he seems motivated this week after the fires let's see if he can make a comeback
-
Backing Kyrgios after both have served one time each. Stop loss if he gets broken, or 5-5, or sit out and green up if he wins the set.
-
@james-woodroffe Good note.
-
Early green thanks to Lajovic winning 1st set backed at 4-4
-
Medvedev is a 2.68 dog against Djokovic for match 2 in Sydney will be backing him as I suspect those odds will come crashing in.

Had a mate at work today say how Nadal would smash Goffin. I said don’t be to certain for some reason Goff matches up well against Rafa. Beat him in London in 17 and a dodgy ump call cost him a Masters semi final win in 18. Finished work and turned my brain off tennis and tennis trading. Just heard Goff rolled him in straight sets, wish I’d have shared this info a few hours ago but something to remember going forward. Nadal struggles against Goffin.

@carl-smith-0 Nadal is my greatest ever trade, was amazing!

Got on a back of Shapo at Duece at 4.80 4-4 just in time for the break. Hoping now he can serve out the set.
Which he does but to no avail as Djokovic remains favourite.
-
There’s the break and some quick green.

Early back of the Serb at 2.70 against AA here in Sydney. I think the books have this one slightly wrong as the young Canadian hasn’t looked great so far and shouldn’t be as short as he is. Hoping Lajovic comes in for some early green.
Nice call cheers!

@richard-latimer agreed doesnt matter what level your at or what bank size you have all that matters is how well you execute trades long term, its why i prefer trading because its an industry that rewards your own personal decisions

@james-woodroffe i think you got 2 different responses from your original post about points and what they mean.
From a basic view and the way i think 99% of traders use points are as follow. your bank is divided into 100. So you now have 100 points. Each point is 1% of your bank. So for a £100 bank each 1 point = £1 for a £200 bank 1 point = £2 and so on.
The reason people use a points system is because its easier to track progress. If you have strategies you can track how they are performing over a period of trades. The main reason is because as your bank grows you start to increase your stakes so it becomes harder to track the change in bank size, but with a point system its always consistent 1% of the new bank is still 1 point. I think richard might have confused you there about staking, staking is the amount you put on each trade.
So example would be your backing over priced players to win the match. Your bank is £100 and you want to stake 2% in this case £2 of your bank each trade. Your trade was say NADAL to win @ odds of 2.0/evens. He goes on to win so your profit is £2 which means you have won 2 points. Similar to £200 bank same stake of 2% £4 (2 points) you would win £4 = 2 points etc.
Hope that helps, its really only to make it easier to track and record. Instead of just tracking actual money values its just a point system.
Lastly fantastic trade on evans mate, hopefully with members like yourself the tennis thread can come alive again, ill be watching to see how your trades do seem to know your tennis
As I have always understood it another reason for talking in points is kind of a polite thing. Everybody has banks of all different shapes and sizes. Some are betting/trading £1000,s while others are recycling the £'s. This way no matter your bank size everyone is just winning and losing points rather than what could sound boastful amounts.
Nobody wants to hear someone say they just made £1,000 on a certain trade and some may be a litle embarrassed to admit they just made 50p.
It levels the playing field to my mind.
Actually I should have said a matter of privacy more than politeness but I guess it could be both.

@darri BECOME A TRADER!!! Live TV is great if you wanna miss all your mates weddings, have no social life, develop a drinking problem and get divorced. Other than that it’s the best job in the world.
