Great start with Martic and Swiatek both winning in straights. Nice green after the opening sets.

Also a lay of Ash Barty at 1.13 against Polona Hercog who’s a much better player than her 9.0 odds suggest. Ash will have the crowd and if Hercog can break early and dominate Ash could well be in for a tough day.

Good value on Iva Swiatek at 1.76 to back against Babos today. Looking at her to take 1st set.
Also with Petra Martic a 2.04 dog against Julia Georges looks great value. -
Lay of Vekic at 1.22 after winning 1st set against Sharapova.
Small green following the break so got out at right time. -
Massive day today with the outside courts getting 7 matches to make up for yesterday.

@rob-arkell I layed Stephens after the first set and managed to get out nicely. But you are right, it was swinging all over the place!

It’s bucketing down here in Melbourne so very limited play with just the stadiums with roofs in action and according to the radar the rain will be around for hours yet.

Loving the fact that Dusan Lajovic is a 2.80 dog today against Kyle Edmund for their first round match. I dunno how Edmund can be 1.55 but alas he is.

Novak not worth an outright back as he’s 2.38. Medvedev on the other hand tho is 9.60 yes please.

Think it’s safe to say the ATP Cup has been a success an event and was good to get my teeth into it from a trading perspective. I’m now on my way to Melbourne as I’m doing the qualifying before the Oz Open. Have to check out the odds but I think I might look at backing Djokovic in the outrights if he’s a decent price and closing when he comes in. He looks on a different level again this year to everyone else and hope he winds up on the other side of the draw to Medvedev as that will be a cracking final should it eventuate. Here’s to hopefully more green before then.
