Brady v Vondrousova
I like this match up a lot, I am amazed Brady is this price to be fair, the way she played against Svitolina was amazing to be honest and looking through the stats on her and comparing them to her opponent I have her at heavy value 1.86 at the moment I have her a lot lower than this.
Brady has a huge serve, which her opponent will not enjoy playing against at all….
How will I play it?
Let them both serve if they both hold I will back Brady, aim to trade out at the end of the first set.

for the the match coming up are you thinking of laying the fav from the start of the match here to try and get some green to use for the rest of the match?
Is that the plan?
Don't worry Rob I am only going to trade with £2 max liability as I am learning but it helps me to get a feel of how things work. So don't worry I wont be losing any proper money here as I am learning.
For Mladenovic match yes, but only if she is serving first game. If not then I'll watch and change my strategy accordingly.
I've also got one eye on Brady game. Brady had a great result in the first round against a much higher ranked opponent but I didn't get to see the match so don't know if she played well or if Svitolina had an off day.
But both look promising to go to 3 sets. It all depends how the first set pans out.
I can't recommend enough watching Ryans video about how to assess the players in match. It's been a godsend for my tennis trading -

@gary-brown As far as videos are concerned. The vids here on BTC have been really helpful for me.
Like I said before, I'm still wet behind the ears myself when it comes to trading, so follow my tips at your own risk -

@rob-arkell thanks Rob for posting i am going to give it a go with minimal stakes to try and see how it all works.
In a nutshell what strategies do people use for trading tennis?
Any Youtube vids or websites i can take a look at to learn more?Lay the leader after the first set is a tried and tested strategy but it's very important to watch and get a feel for how the first set went. Personally, I take out the liability when the losing player goes up a couple of points and looks likely to break serve, that way, if she doesn't brek the serve I'm not risking anything, if she does then I can either cash out green or wait to see if she then holds serve next game and get more green or wait for the end of the set for even more but it's completely risk free as long as I take out the red early on.
I do a fair bit of research on the players though and have been following them quite closely since the Oz open. You'll start to get a feel for the ones that struggle to convert break/set/match points and they can be very lucrative. See James' post earlier about laying at 1.01

Mladenovic comes into this game on really good form, although she lost in straight sets to Pliskova at oz open I expect a tighter game this time. This is Pliskovas first game since losing to Pavluchenkova at oz open so she may take a couple of games to warm up.
I'm going to wait until the coin toss but will lay Pliskova if she serves first. The odds won't jump too much against me if she wins her service game but an early break would put me up enough to trade risk free for the rest of the match -
Yeah Casper Rudd last night total profit could of been 6.40 but when he we t a set down but had 3 break points in the first game of the second set, came up with 1.47 profit left it. He didn't convert and then struggled on his other chances and final lost the second set for a 5 pound loss.

Nice lays there guys.
Wasnt the best day in tennis for me 3 matches 1 winner and 2 losses i think could of been 3. (Svitolina and matric)
But my football trade tonight brought me back to only a 2 pound loss overall for the day so not bad at all. Would of been a profit for the day but 2 quick goals in the Dortmund match lowered the profit on the under 3.5.I defo need to cash out earlier I think. Sometimes leave trades in too long even after taking liability out too. Just can't seem to cash out for 70 or 80p at present. Stakes are low.
I definitely had to go through that learning point of when to get out. I used to hang on thinking a game was done and dusted and the extra I would've got from waiting was minimal. No point in hanging around for me. I get out nice and quick nowadays

@gary-brown I’ll be around tomorrow mate as the boy will be at holiday club so I’ll be able to concentrate a bit more. Another good day looming in Dubai by the looks of the order of play.

Awesome way to finish a pretty good day. Laid Sabalenka as low as 1.06 and got out when she lost that second set. Had to balance feeding junior and getting him ready for bed so didn’t post earlier. Nice green day with some stupidly low odds during the course of it. Also Bencic was stupid short from memory after she won the first set and went up an early break. Here’s to more green tomorrow.

@gary-brown I'm pretty new to it myself mate so don't take my word as gospel. But I'm doing okay on tennis so far.
Cricket is my other success. Basically I'm a fan of laying at super low odds and these 2 spports provide it with pretty big swings -

@gary-brown I only ever do it if I've already got good profit by the way.
It's a rarity but it does happen and the wins are huge when it doesthanks for helping me. I am slowly working out what to do thanks. Just need to build up experience I guess so I totally understand how it all works.
