Thanks matey. I'll have a little punt while sunning myself
-
It is also just one break of serve.
-
I think I’m pretty lucky that given her and my working backgrounds the idea of trading sports isn’t so crazy to her and part of her actually thinks me doing this makes sense so that helps. It’s a tough one. I’m going to lay Annisomova in the 2nd set and if Svitolina gets rolled easily in straights I’ll ignore her until I know she’s either back or seriously struggling as the year evolves.
-
Any thoughts on Svitolina? I'm not watching but happy to go with whatever you guys are seeing.
Don't worry. I won't hold anybody to account. Lol -
@simon-miller life's a gamble matey, in everything we do. Not that my missus would understand that. A professional trader in foreign exchange or the stock markets is considered a proper way of life, this is no different. That's my argument anyway
-
I might have to change my strategy. If my mate in the pub offered me a quid in exchange for 100 quid on Djokovic vs this fella I'd have probably taken his quid.

i wouldnt say its hard i just didnt realise a couple of things with it, i didnt use low stakes either when trying it so i guess my bad haha, i wish my other half was the same, i kinda have to do it without her knowing too much. why i do most on my phone
Haha! The secret trader. Good luck pal. Not just with the trading but with the missus as well

@james-woodroffe hahaha! I love the idea of a trading office, filled with monitors and matches of all sorts of sports beaming out while your backing and laying like a madman!
-
Would be interesting for prematch scalping also as Svitolina has come in 13 ticks before a points been played.

@james-woodroffe is it easy to use?
It doesn’t seem like rocket science but I’ll let you know. My better half told me last night that if I was going to focus on making a proper go of trading then we would set up the office as a proper trading room with extra monitors and if I was going to do it do it right. I guess mastering the software is part of doing it right
-
im the same i have had it for a while but cant seem to get round to using it as i normally just use the betfair interface as i tend to do most on my phone, had a few massive losses with the bet trader for not realising that cashing out cashed out the full market and not just a selection.
-
@james-woodroffe is it easy to use?

I’ve fired up my BetTrader software and was matched within about a half second it seemed. It’s stupid to pay for it and not use it and get comfortable with it.
-
-
Was thinking about the dynamics of Betfair though.
I'm guessing that there are people out there happy to accept my lays at 1.02. picking up thousands of little £1 trades from the likes of me and profiting from it.
It all baffles me to be honest -

I can’t take a trick today. Couldn’t get matched when Swiatek had 0-40 to get back on serve for 1-1 couldn’t get matched at 1-1 and then all value just dropped away.
Are you using trading software?
No I have my laptop I do have software but I use the Betfair website. To be fair I very rarely have a problem just one of those things.
