There’s also no Federer till at least Wimbledon and that mark of 20 GS titles. Djoko and Nadal have incredible motivation this year and I expect their dominance to continue.

Haha! you're filling me with hope for my amazing trade here!!

@james-woodroffe I've been testing different odds to exit on Djokovic (unlikely to happen but still) Any thoughts on exit strategy here? I'm thinking if it can get to 1.1 or even 1.15/1.2 I'll lock in some decent profit but still leave enough in for a biggie if a miracle happens

Not really mate as I’m still getting my head around things also. I’d back in your own judgement watch and enjoy the match and see what you’re thinking as to how the match is panning out. Remember also that Rafa is in Acapulco and whoever does the better of the two at these tournaments will (I think) be number 1 come Monday so there is motivation as opposed to just appearance fee.

Looking at Ostapenko v Kvitova. How many times does that happen. It seems like a lot.
The underdog comes back hard to take the second set and then gets destroyed in the 3rd

Physical and mental energy I’m guessing mate.

Could possibly be something to look out for. If a player is broken early and can't get it back they might save energy and lose first set and go for it in the second/third

I think they’re more likely to fight back if the break comes early as opposed to say 4-4 cause if broken to trail 4-5 and their opponent holds to take the set then the player who loses the set will serve first in the following and as long as they hold there’s scoreboard pressure on their opponent.

Looking at Evans in this match and the last. It's a bigger swinger than my randy Uncle.

Something I’ve been thinking about and to be fair I dunno if there’s anything in it but possibly something to consider. It seems that if a player loses a tight set ie is broken early but is then quite solid but unable to get the break back it seems they’re more likely to win the second set. It also seems to appear that way if they are completely outplayed in the first set they’re more likely to hit back in the second. However if they blow the first set from a position of dominance or they blow 2 or 3 set points it appears they’re more likely to go on and lose in straight sets (or lose the 3rd if won the first and blew the second) Again I have no stats to back this up it’s just something that I seem to notice and will be monitoring going forward.

Ostapenko was 15-40 down on serve, came back held and broke so that was a defo turning point.
