On my way to Rome for the Masters 1000. Interesting field given that Nadal is back and Djokovic will be out for revenge. Berentini the 4th seed highlights who’s missing. Halep the top seed for the women’s along with Pliskova. Should be a good week the girls again looks a lot more open and should be plenty of opportunities to make some nice green.

@james-woodroffe yes agree but can't discount Zverev he can turn it up a gear and will need to as he's not been as good
I can't see past Thiem although Zverev won't give up as last two matches have proved. There is a big difference in Thiem's level to Carreno Busta's.
He will have to play alot better or else it will be over quickly - queue the 5 set marathon
Yeah can’t and won’t discount Zverev think it will be a ripper match.

@martin-futter Thiem time! Should be a cracking match Dom has been super good this last fortnight reckon he breaks thru tonight.
-
Osaka hitting back strong now.
-
Did't expect such a won sided 1st set Azarenka played well but Osaka was awful

For those of you that Lay First Set Winner typically, do you all watch the game or watch the Betfair page and trade out, or tend to let run until end of second set? I find myself staring at the odds fluctuate resulting in emotion led decisions to leave or cash out
For me you need to watch the matches.
What I tend to do is remove 1/3 liability on the break of serve, another 1/3 if they hold serve next game and then will see on the rest.
Although as there's so many breaks of serve in WTA games would more often than not cash out there and then with a view to maybe getting involved again.
There's been a couple of matches this week in Istanbul where every game was a break of serve - nine in a row in 3rd set of Hercog v Badosa yesterday with only hold being in last game
I'm still too new to this to get involved in the 3rd set but for exoerienced traders I guess it could have been massively profitable.
-
@daniel-cooper hey mate, I tend to cash out once they get the break of serve in the 2nd set and I always watch the match. It helps also with laying the server as you can see wether or not they are struggling. I think tennis is totally different to football in so much as you need to watch the match to totally understand what’s going on not only between the lines but between the ears also.

@james-woodroffe I'm looking at a similar approach

Morning guys,
Women’s final tonight and can’t wait. Outright market Green locked in and see a classic unfolding with Osaka v Azarenka. It’s going to be a case of simply laying the first set winner as I reckon it’s got 3 sets written all over it. Found some new respect for Azarenka since her return and it’s good to see her back and competing as opposed to just making up the numbers in a draw.
Both girls have the stomach for a battle and both will leave nothing on court. -
@chris-osborne yeah mate but bring on Rome and Paris starting next week. Good opportunities for sure with the clay court specialists coming out of the woodwork.

Nice to wake up and see Azarenka had knocked out Serena. Some nice green locked in on the outright market.
Both semi’s three setters as well would have been decent trading opportunities if not on at stupid o’clock our time

@martin-futter Tennis insight does separate the players but the depth of data isn't as good as our software. You get a lot less and I'm not sure it would give the guys what they are wanting
Are there any videos about using the Tennis Stats anywhere?
it is one of @Ryan-Carruthers tasks on our workboard, mainly been waiting for it to return and get a few matches played
